About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
My no bake tiramisu since I can't seem to find a decent store bought tiramisu anywhere (maybe I'm just picky but I've been told that mine tastes better).
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mum never really cooked with us kids ,but I learned from my aunts all these nice italian deserts (tiramisu, rosettes, zeppole, guanti etc..).I try to make some when I have free time.
My cooking triumphs
I must say it's baking a heart shaped genoise from scratch to make my tiramisu cake for my sister-in-law's 28th bday. It worked out so nicely after decorating it and looked so professional that I had to take a picture of it.
My cooking tragedies
Baking pastry items is my big trouble.I have a 50/50 chance of success but I always try again.Won't set me back too much.

Easier Chicken Marsala
I thickly sliced my chicken breast before I dredged them in the flour mix and added some sea salt .Also I thickened the sauce with cornstarch at the end. Very yummy with vermouth too . I ran out of marsala so vermouth was used with great success. Served with steamed broccoli and whole wheat couscous.

Pork Roast and Sauerkraut
Very good recipe. Used pork loin roast and cooked it for 8 hrs and the roast shredded nicely and my mennonite farmers sausage was so tender. I cooked the sausage from the beginning with the roast.

Gourmet White Pizza
Great base recipe where you can a extra veggies or make your own alfredo. I did just that. Added Caramelized onions, sliced kale and spinach, chopped sun dried tomatoes, and used grated herbed monterey jack cheese instead. Made my own pizza crust .Winner with the whole family.
