My favorite things to cook
My no bake tiramisu since I can't seem to find a decent store bought tiramisu anywhere (maybe I'm just picky but I've been told that mine tastes better).
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mum never really cooked with us kids ,but I learned from my aunts all these nice italian deserts (tiramisu, rosettes, zeppole, guanti etc..).I try to make some when I have free time.
My cooking triumphs
I must say it's baking a heart shaped genoise from scratch to make my tiramisu cake for my sister-in-law's 28th bday. It worked out so nicely after decorating it and looked so professional that I had to take a picture of it.
My cooking tragedies
Baking pastry items is my big trouble.I have a 50/50 chance of success but I always try again.Won't set me back too much.

Spicy Lamb Patties
As is ,it is ok. Add some minced onion,finely chopped parsley and green onion for more flavour. I added an egg and 1/4 cup breadcrumbs since I find this works best for meatballs. Baked at 375F for 25min. Will use this recipe as a base and add my extras .

Cherry Ice Cream
I used lactose free heavy creme for the milk and heavy creme portions, lactose free 3% greek yogurt since we prefer a creamier Ice cream. Didn't know what cherry concentrate was but prefer homemade ingredients in ice cream so I made a cherry syrup with real cherries,water and sugar. Worked nicely and I found the end result was more light like yogurt ice cream and sorbet then rich traditional ice cream. I will make again

Coconut Rice
Best tasting basmati rice I have made. Looks like plain rice but has a nice buttery nutty taste. Went well with some honey hoisin pork chops :-)
