Homemade Hamburger Buns

I found and made this recipe for hamburger buns just this past Monday. While I'm no expert, I've tried my hand at making lots of breads, rolls and buns over the years. I've always been disappointed with the buns I've made. Too puffy, too dense, etc. Well, I shall look no more! Hands down, this is THE BEST recipe I've tried. Chef John's hamburger buns are gorgeous to look at, they have a wonderful taste, and they are the perfect texture. 2 days later, the leftovers are still very tasty. These are well worth the effort. I've found my perfect recipe for hamburger buns!!

Banana Banana Bread

I was looking for a recipe that had a bit less sugar than "classic" banana bread recipes. I tried this because of all the great reviews. I was very dissappointed. I even added 1Tbsp of cinnamon to the batter, but couldn't taste it over the banana flavor. Sorry.....will look for other recipes.

Grilled Zucchini and Squash

This is okay (although too much butter) if you like steamed, mushy veggies on the grill. I think I'll stick with marinading (olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic) cutting veg in larger chunks, and placing directly on the grill for that wonderful smokey grilled flavor with tender-crisp doneness.

Elisa's Famous Fudge

I made enough of this recipe over the Christmas holiday, for us and to give to friends. Sure enough, it was VERY easy to make. Not only was it delicious, but got rave reviews from my friends! This one is a keeper! Thanks Elisa!

Pumpkin Cranberry Bread

Great recipe and smells dee-lish while baking! I baked entire mixture in a bundt pan. I made some small adjustments ~ instead of 2 cups white sugar, I used 1 cup dark brown and 1 cup white. Gives it a lovely dark color. We like lots of fruit, so I also added a cup of raisins along w/cranberries and nuts.

Barbecued Beef

This is AMAZING! It's so easy and great to make for large crowds. I made a few "crock pots" full and froze ahead of time for a big party. Everybody LOVED this and asked for the recipe. So easy and so delicious! The whole house smells good while cooking. Thanks so much for a real "crowd pleaser"! ~Ruth
