Tartar Sauce I
I tried another tartar sauce recipe today and Allrecipe's won, It's the easiest and the tastiest. The first recipe called for dill pickles which we didn't care for and the consistence was too loose. Allrecipe's calls for sweet pickle relish, which we prefer. I made it to serve with Pan Fried Oyster Spoons. A dollop of tartar sauce in the spoon topped with a warm oyster. I made the oysters yesterday and served in a spoon with homemade cocktail sauce and think this combination is the winner. The oysters heat up fine in the microwave so I know I can make them ahead, clean up the mess, and nuke them the next day. We like this recipe.

Grilled Jalapeno Poppers
Rating on the taste only. The grill time was off or my grilling heat was incorrect. No heat temperature was indicated and grilling instructions could have been a lot better. And it took one hour alone just to grill. Should revise recipe to better assist readers who try someone's recipe.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I
My baby spinach at Publix came in a 6 oz. bag. I was shocked at the amount of oil and sugar for a 10 oz bag so I started out with 2 Tbls of good quality olive oil and 1 T sugar BUT sprinkled a little sugar at a time into the oil and would up with 1 tsp. white sugar and cut the distilled vinegar to 1 Tblsp, a splash Worcestershire, and no seeeds or paprika, 1 Tblsp red onion. I used one half of a 6 oz. bag of baby spinach and 1/2 of the dressing. I added fresh strawberries, fresh blueberies, and crumbled Feta. It was a perfectly dressed salad with 1/2 the dressing for a repeat tomorrow. The dressing is WAY too much quantity and sugar and a waste of good quality olive oil. The concept is 5* but the dressing quantities are way off.
