Oh MY LORD! THIS IS THE BEST LASAGNA I EVER HAD!!! I made it the night before eating it. Followed the ingredients to the T. But I took some other reviewer's advice and made the sauce and did not cook it at all! Threw everything together after cooking the meat. While the meat was cooking the noodles were in almost boiling water (the kettle started to steam but not whistle) for about 30 mins. Absolute DELICIOUSNESS! The fennel really gives this dish a special flavor. My daughter woke up this morning and asked if there was any left. She'll have more tonight with cheesy garlic bread.
