Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2013
I made this twice, the first time exactly as the recipe calls for. The 2nd time I used 1 can of beef broth and 1 cup water in place of 3 cups water. I used 4 bay leafs instead of 1, 3lb chuck roast and kept every thing else as the recipe calls for. I boiled all the spices and broth and water then poured it over my roast topped it with 4 chopped garlic cloves put the lid on it and 7 hours later I took the meat out which just fell apart, took what little fat there was out and shredded the meat then put it back in the crocky added sliced red onion green bell pepper and fresh sliced mushrooms and cooked another hour. It was soooo good, I can't say enough about it. one of my favorites for sure.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
OH MY, This is very very good, I used 12 oz Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory and Brown sugar Barbecue sauce. 6 oz chili sauce and 8 splashes of Franks Red Hot Sauce. I skipped the ketchup, vinegar, oregano, and worcestershire sauce. After browning I cooked on low for 4 hours then flipped the ribs over and cooked another 4. I was going to put them on the grill at the end of 8 hours just to glaze them but when I opened the crock pot I was surprised to see how perfect they turned out. They couldn't of been any better.
