Cookie Mix in a Jar VII

I gave this as a gift to my sister. After she baked them she told me her 1 1/2 year old daughter kept saying "More cookie more cookie!"

Winter Solstice Soup

I made this the first day it snowed. It was a wonderfully warm, creamy and filling soup. The next time I make it however, I think I'm not going to blend all of it so there will be some chunks of veggies to add texture.

Super Spicy Chocolate Milk

I made this using regular milk instead of sweetened condensed and was conservative with the spices. It was extremely spicy and since the spices don't melt, VERY gritty. It was also bitter but perhaps that was because I didn't have the right milk on hand. My boyfriend and I took a few sips and had to dispose of the rest. If you make this, I'd suggest trying whole pieces of the spices so you can take them out after steeping in water or trying to strain them out. I, however, won't be adding this to my recipe box at home.

Dairy Free Chocolate Pudding

Unfortunately, I had the same problem with my chocolate clumping. As for taste, I liked it but thought it could have been sweeter. It's a very dense pudding compared to instant kinds-I couldn't finish 1 serving. If I make this pudding again, I think I'll add more sugar and get the clumps out of the chocolate BEFORE I put it in the saucepan.

Best Bruschetta Ever

Easy Pizza Sauce I

Overall not bad. It was very easy to make. I added a little sugar to mine, heated it in the microwave, and served on top of vegetarian calzones. My boyfriend liked it a lot.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

This dough makes a very tasty pizza. I like a really thick crust so I used it all to make one pizza on my stone. It's worth the wait! Note: When ever I make my own pizza, I always pop the crust and sauce in for 5 min and then add the cheese-otherwise I end up with very dark cheese and somewhat undercooked crust.

Doggie Biscuits I

These come out great! I made them to sell at a dog walk-a-thon for the shelter I volunteer at. The dogs loved them. After following the advice of the others, I only added 1/2 cup of water. That is the correct amount! The dough forms and cuts easily and bakes up just like a biscuit. I tasted one myself and it wasn't bad. I was a bit wary of the 2 Tbsp of vanilla extract (that seems like an awful lot) so next time I'll use 2 tsp and see how they come out.

Cheese Cake Cups

Very quick and easy! Tasty too! I put chocolate chips right in the mixture and topped with fresh pieces of strawberries. My baking time was also more around 25 min than the 15 stated on the recipe. Also, make sure you refrigerate for a few hours before serving.

Peanut Noodles

This is a fantastic recipe! Also very quick! I made it with crunchy peanut butter and olive oil since I forgot to pick up the sesame. It came out great! It was creamy and not salty like some people complained. (Most likely depends on the brand of soy sauce you use.) My boyfriend has already requested that we make this recipe again this week.

Zucchini Saute

Linguini with Broccoli and Red Peppers

Very tasty! I found that a whole pound of Linguini was too much for the sauce/vegetables. I recommend only cooking half the box (1/2 pound) or else doubling the rest. I used half and it came out very nice.

Pumpkin Cranberry Bars

I made this for Thanksgiving and my family loved it! I cut big pieces out and served it like cake with cool whip on top. Very tasty! I did have to increase the cooking time to an hour because it had not cooked in the middle after 45 min.

Purple Monstrosity Fruit Smoothie

Very tasty! I used 1/2 cup orange juice, 1/2 cup soy milk and 1/2 cup plain yogurt. The consistency was perfect - not too thick and not too thin.

Baked French Fries I

These were good but there is something off about the baking time or temperature. I only had them in the oven at 450 for 24 min before they started to char. My husband really liked them though, so I'll try them again. I did follow others suggestions and put everthing in plastic bag to coat. Also sprinkled with salt after they came out of the oven.
