About this Cook
I love to cook and don't get the chance to make things I like because I have a very picky boyfriend. I like lots of veggies and try to eat healthy, but we all know how that goes. Right now I am training for a half marathon, so I'm trying!!
My favorite things to cook
I like tacos. A lot. And in a lot of different ways with different toppings. I love to grill. I'll try anything on the grill once.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's stir fry and scalloped potatoes and ham.
My cooking triumphs
I've had some good crock pot adventures lately. Just thrown in the ingredients and let it go. No dry roasts for me!
My cooking tragedies
There have been many. I tried to make some rice krispie bars recently with marshmallows that were a little bit hard. Guess what?? They make REALLY crispy rice krispie bars! Ick. :(

Sylvia's Ribs
This was the first time I've really made ribs and this recipe didn't let me down! The only thing I changed was I didn't add the steak sauce since I don't like it. The ribs were tender and flavorful. Will make again! Thanks.

Slow Cooker Philly Steak Sandwich Meat
This was amazing! I couldn't stop eating it! I made only minor changes. I used a 3 1/2 pound chuck roast so I tripled the recipe. I only used 1/4 teaspoon of thyme, just because I don't care for it much. I used only 1/2 a teaspoon of hot sauce, but I could have gotten away with using it all. I also started out with one can of beer. I added a second about halfway through. We ate it on some bakery buns with Muenster cheesee, onions, peppers and mushrooms. Soooo good. Will be making again. Thanks Duboo.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II
This was fantastic! I'd give it 10 stars if I could. I used lower sodium bouillon cubes and pinot grigio for the sauce, as I know nothing about wine and another reviewer said it was great. I had 8 chicken breasts and doubled the sauce. Doubling the sauce was not necessary and we used a lot of it. Will be making again for sure!
