Passion Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
Oh my these were delicious and super easy to prepare. I followed the recipe exactly except I used reduced fat peanut butter and milk chocolate chips rather than the semisweet since it was what I had on hand. They are so good, especially if you warm them up a little to make the gooey. They were a huge hit.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
This was awesome! I just finished eating it and had to rate it, it was so good. I omitted the celery and forgot to mince an onion so I just added some onion powder instead. I covered the veggies with clam juice rather than water for some more flavor. Other then that I followed the recipe as stated. It was very thick but I like it that way so I didn't thin it out. This was definitely better than a lot of restaurants I've had clam chowder at and super simple to make.

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
This was fabulous. I followed the recipe almost to a T. I left out the green onions and olives due to preference. Other than that kept everything as written. I will say that it is very labor intensive but the end product was fantastic. I actually prepared the chicken the night before and then finished everything up the next day. It kind of helped to breakup the work time. I'd definitely recommend this recipe to anyone.

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
This was great! I'm not usually a carrot cake person but some family members do like it so I decided to make it for Easter. I followed it pretty much to a T except I omitted the raisins for personal preference. I also used 2 9" round pans and baked for only 30 minutes. It came out so moist, and it was super easy to make. I made a cream cheese frosting with vanilla and almond extract that really complemented the cake. This didn't last long!

Angel Lush

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
This is super easy and super yummy! I did it a little different but didn't really change much. Instead of a cup of cool whip I used a whole small container. I cubed 2 small packages of angel food cake and put them in a Rubbermaid container. I put the cool whip/pudding/pineapple mixture on top and topped with strawberries. It was such a nice light dessert for Easter.

Black Bean and Corn Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
Yum, these were super simple and really quick to make. I followed the directions exactly and used sour cream and guacamole for dipping. Will definitely be making these again. I also put in some chicken in my hubby's since he likes to have his meat at each meal.

Three Packet Slow Cooker Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
Yum! This was so easy to prepare and tasted fantastic when it was done. I added a beef bullion cube as well as some cornstarch at the end to thicken up the sauce for a gravy. I paired it with the Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes from this site. I'm actually looking forward to leftovers tomorrow!

Kielbasa with Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
This is one of my new favorite dishes. It is super easy to prepare and I don't really change much in the recipe. The only big change is that I use crushed tomatoes instead of stewed (the BF prefers the sauce more saucier than chunky). Other than that I usually up the cayenne pepper because we like things a little bit hotter. Excellent recipe, thanks for a great new way to use up kielbasa!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
This was really good. I've made it the way the recipe states when I'm running behind which makes a great pot roast. But after reading reviews, I followed sdgirl's review and it was even better. I have a great red wine I love to cook with and that really put this recipe over the top. I also added some garlic to the mix. It was wonderful!

Neat Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
These are wonderful. I will never buy the canned mix again! I did change up the amounts of the ingredients for personal tastes but I kept all of them in there. This also freezes well, which is a plus wince it makes so much.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
These are absolutely delicious and super easy to make. Once I had all of the dough ingredients mixed together, I put it in the freezer to make it easier to form the balls. Their consistency is close to a brownie, which my family loved. These did not last long!

Beef Bourguignon II

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
This was fantastic. The meat came out sooo tender it was ridiculous. I followed some recommendations to substitute beef broth for a cup of wine but I think that is a mistake. I think it would be better as is stated in the recipe. Either way it was a hit with my family!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
These are wonderful. The only thing I changed was using a chocolate cake mix. The cookie dough tasted wonderful, one of the best I've had. I used the cookie dough recipe for actual cookies and they tasted awesome. My family ate these up, will definitely make again.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
These are super simple and always a big hit. The only thing I will mention is that they need to be kept cool otherwise they start to melt. They usually go so fast at the functions I make them for that it never really is a problem for me. Definitely recommend!

Frozen Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls

These are fantastic. I made them for my birthday treat at work and they were gone in a day. I also like to make them and keep them at home for whenever I have a sweet tooth craving. Love these!

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
This is wonderful. My sister-in-law always made this recipe. I never really measure anything and go by taste when adding 1000 island dressing. I also make my own dressing, which I think tastes way better than store bought. This dip is always the first to go at a potluck or party.

Ranch Ham Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
These are wonderful. They make an easy and quick snack. I use the onion and chive cream cheese instead of adding individual ingredients as well as some shredded cheese.

Spanish Flan

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
I never had flan before, so I don't have anything to base the after-product against, but it was delicious! The only thing I did differently was increase the eggs to 4 and use a water bath to bake it in. It was so simple and delicious. I didn't have problems with the caramel, but I have made dozens of batches for Christmas candy. It took me about 20 minutes to melt the dry sugar but once the sugar wasn't lumpy it was the perfect coppery-color you want. I'll definitely be making this again.

Garlic Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
This recipe was awesome. I made it for Christmas dinner and everyone raved about it. I followed the ingredients to a T, it was spot on. I followed other reviewers advice by cooking it for 12 minutes at 460 degrees, then 8 minutes at 400 degrees, and finally 325 for about 17 minutes per pound. Pulled it out when the meat thermometer registered 135 and let it sit for about 20-25 minutes. It was a perfect medium throughout the entire roast.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2014
Definitely a wonderful recipe. I followed the recipe exactly except I only used 1 can of black beans. Like many others I think 2 would take the spotlight away from the quinoa, which I'd prefer to have as the majority in the dish. Tastes great hot and cold. I love making a big batch and eating for lunch the whole week. Definitely a keeper.
