About this Cook
Well, I'm 26 and yes, just beginning of a few years cooking. I've always had interest in cooking and have thankfully had my step mothers influence and help over the years. I use always watch the Food Network for creative ideas and now am on my own looking for fun and new recipes and even some old ones for a little tradition. Cooking has always been fun and mostly successful. Now, I'm looking for baking ideas as well. I'm hopefully going to learn basics of both. :)
My favorite things to cook
I'd love to master the art of cookies all kinds and cakes as well as muffins. I also like cooking different meats and meat meal ideas. I'd like to get into more southern style cuisine and learn many different styles if I'm able to. Love to cook for guests and always best cooking for others I think.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There is a chocolate chip truffle recipe that my mother likes to use for Christmas baking and an Almond White Chocolate Bark recipe as well, but I have never gotten the recipe for. I'd love to find it and I'd make it this year if I could. Also, shortbread is popular around Christmas as well. My Grandmother use to make homemade pies. While my Step Mother could make just about anything, but really is the best with cookies.

Tea Biscuits
I gave this a 5 star rating, not only because this recipe didn`t need ANY adjustments, but I made my own homemade patties (burgers) and didn`t have any hamburger buns, so I used this specific recipe and cut them a little thicker than usual and when they where done, I cut them in half like a bun for a hamburger dinner. They where great. I chose to add some Parmasean cheese and some shreaded Marble cheese to it as well. Perfect, it was a hit!

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
These work great. I followed the recipe almost exact, but instead replaced baking soda with baking powder for a more puffy cookie, but still very ymmy!!

Pierogies
I really did enjoy this easy recipe, it`s much better than going out to the store and buying pre-made because you don`t always know what goes in them and these ones take no time at all and very little ingrediants. The dough I agree, is a little bland and they don`t boil very nicely, but by adding a few things to fry them with makes all the difference. Even just frying them (no boiling) in some butter and a little seasoning works really well. Than, add some fried onions, bacon mushrooms and or pork you`ve got a great meal.
