Aunt Millie's Broccoli Casserole
Tried this for the first time for Christmas Eve dinner and it was supper yummy. I did make some changes based on other reviews. I used Cream of Celery soup and added about 1/4-1/2 c. of half and half to the mixture as well as substituted shredded cheddar cheese instead of American. I also substituted Ritz crackers for croutons. As far as the salt and pepper, I just seasoned the sauce to taste (taking into consideration that the Ritz are salty to begin with. Very very good. This is an excellent alternative to green bean casserole for a holiday dinner. I love that it uses fresh brocolli rather than frozen. I will definitley make this again!

I disagree with the reviewer who said that bottled sauce would be better. This sauce was super! I added finely chopped onion and bottled chili sauce and soy sauce to taste. It was excellent! I always parboil ribs before grilling, but I've never finished them off in the oven as this recipe directs. The texture and flavor of the meat really reminded me of carolina pulled pork. YUMMY!!! One suggestion -- Add a quatered onion, some crushed fresh garlic, peppercorns and salt to the cooking water. It really adds depth of flavor to the meat itself. I've also added beer and/or apple cider vinegar to the cooking water in past. Mmmm!!
