Stewed Tomatoes with Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Good. I added onion, garlic, and italian seasoning. I also used a can of fire-roasted tomatoes and used made- from- scatch cornmeal dumplings. YUM

Quick Veggie Soup

Nice simple soup. Not to be too picky, but "veggie soup" does not have beef bouillon in it. Try vegetable broth instead!

Sesame Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
This stuff is great! I used pineapple juice instead of orange because it's what i had on hand. Also i didn't have sesame oil, so i just upped the amount of sesame seeds used to give the sauce more sesame flavor. A little spicy for me, but i don't like a lot of heat. Next time a little less pepper. Over all a wonderful and versatile sauce.

Vegan Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
Good, but I felt it was lacking something. Just didn't have that intense chocolate flavor I was looking for. My kids liked it, but did say it didn't taste like chocolate cake. Maybe more cocoa or some melted butter instead of oil?

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
Good Recipe, I use 1/4 cup shortening and 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce, and left the rest of the recipe the same. They are super soft and you'll never miss the extra fat and calories. My 3 kids love these. Great with butterscotch or white chocolate chips too.

Oatmeal Whole Wheat Quick Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2012
Really quick and easy. I used quick oats and left them whole. Also,I added a dash of cinnamon and used sour milk in place of regular milk. I cooked this in my 10.5 inch cast iron skillet and it only needed 15 minutes to get done.Smells and tastes wonderful as is, or slather with butter for a real treat. Thanks for the recipe.
