Homemade Sweet Italian Sausage (Mild or Hot)

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
I love making my own sausage because you're really in control of what goes into the food, and especially with sausage commercial products which are full of sodium and msg making pork, a relatively healthy meat into a heart attack waiting to happen. As for this recipe my husband is in love with it! I only had a pound of pork so I went ahead put all the spices called for in the recipe in a spice grinder to blend them evenly, makes about 7 tablespoons, put a third of that into the pound of pork, cooked it off and used in Lasagna Rollotini. Soooo good, even if I would let my husband go back to commercial sausage he wouldn't in a million years. Thanks so much for the recipe.

Creole Seasoning Blend

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
Love it! I added more thyme and a little lemon pepper for some brightness. I use this is in rubs for meats, but my favorite is using this on seafood especially in fish & shrimp tacos! Marinate the fish and shrimp for 10 minutes in 2 tbsp. of Creole Seasoning, juice of a lemon, and zest/juice of a lime. Cook in a skillet with half of the marinade til opaque. Soooooo good!!

Abbey's White Chocolate Latte

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
This is my husband's hands down favorite drink at Starbucks he loves it so much he will still get it during the summer, but Starbucks can be quite pricey on a Military members salary, so I made this for him along with a big breakfast on Veteran's Day, he was soo shocked it tasted exactly like Starbucks! Absolutely going to keep this in my recipe box!

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
These are crazy delicious! It was extremely hard for my husband and I to not gobble them up! Contemplating making more this week just we can have them all to ourselves! As far as making the bars go I halved recipe doing half of the pecans, and the crust mixture (adding a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon AMAZING!), but made 3/4 of the filling, and baked in a 9x13 glass dish. They came out perfectly and I will be making these over and over forever!

White Chocolate Mocha

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
I haven't actually made this recipe but I just wanted to let people know where to buy white chocolate syrup. You can buy it from Cost Plus World Market, Smart and Final, and if you didn't know you can actually buy syrups from Starbucks! (Granted if they think they're too low on that particular item they won't sell it to you since it's taking away from their stock, but if they say their too low I suggest asking when they get their stock shipment in and go again that day!) Hope this helped!
