Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
Made this for lunch for my friends and we all loved it. I doubled the sauce due to the fact that I added fresh stir fry veggies (broccoli, onion, yellow pepper, and mushrooms) to this. Served it over rice. This is a keeper.

Perfect Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
I only made the sauce in this recipe. It was really great. I didn't have dark soy sauce (used lite soy sauce) or chili paste, but it was still really good. I used this sauce as a dipping sauce for the "Sesame Chicken with Honey Sauce". This chicken is baked instead of deep fried. It was moist and tender. Will keep this sauce recipe for future use.

Sesame Chicken with Honey Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
This chicken was yummy! I made them into tenders instead of bites. I seasoned chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I toasted the sesame seeds. In the coating I used dry mustard plus added spicy brown mustard. I added a little bit sesame oil. I had chopped onion flakes instead of minced. I added fresh minced garlic. I used the dipping sauce on this page, plus I made the sauce found in the "Perfect Sesame Chicken" recipe found on this site. I preferred the other sauce, but my 8 year old liked this sauce. I served this with the "stir fried rice" recipe on this site. I really liked that the chicken was baked instead of fried. One more thing, I turned the chicken after 10 minutes of baking.

YUMMY! I didn't do the egg like it said. I added it after I cooked the garlic and I didn't add salt. It was really good.

Simple Beef Flavored Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
I thought this was an easy and tasty recipe. I thought it was too salty, so next time I will reduce the beef bouillon to two tsp. and hope that does the trick. For you first time gravy makers: I've learned that you need to put the thickening agent (flour, corn starch, etc.) in the water first to completely dissolve it and then add the rest of the ingredients and put the heat on. This recipe says to do that but others I've tried didn't and I've made many lumpy gravies. If you feel you need to add more flour, dissolve it in a bowl with a little water and then add it to the hot gravy mixture. :)

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
Yummy! Next time I make this I will look for less sodium soups as this was a bit too salty. I doubled the cream of mushroom soup. Served it with noodles and mashed potatoes. Can't do this one every week, but today I was in Carb heaven! :) I have a child that is allergic to milk, so I went to health food store and bought a portabella mushroom soup that is dairy free, so he was also able to enjoy this meal!

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

This was great! I added black beans and a little bit more cumin. I boiled and shredded the chicken. I sauteed the onion and garlic until the onion was translucent then added the remainder ingredients including the chicken. It was so yummy!

Glazed Carrots and Snow Peas

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
This was a great recipe! The favor was excellent. I used sugar snap peas instead and used real butter... yummy! At first I didn't think the "dressing" was going to be enough to coat, but it was the perfect amount. Will definately make again.

Favorite Barbecue Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2004
This was a great recipe! I used chicken tenders (because that is what I had) and doubled the recipe. I used some of the sauce to marinate the chicken put in the frig for about 30 min. and then while grilling the chicken added sauce to both sides (cooked on treated aluminum foil to keep down the mess). Liked the taste so much that with remainder sauce used as a dip for the chicken. Will definately make this again.

Mexican Pasta

This was a great recipe. I didn't have any black beans, so I used a whole can of corn. I used a can of Rotel tomatoes. The combination of ingredients sounds strange, but tasted excellent. Will definitely make this again!
