Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2005
I make this recipe a lot and they always disappear quickly. I use bran cereal and soak it as directed. I also cut the sugar back to about 1/2 cup and substitute applesauce for the oil.

Slovak Stuffed Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2004
These are so good! I had some leftover pork loin roast that I wanted to use up so I ground it in my food processor and then mixed it with a pound of ground turkey instead of the ground beef. I love to use my slow cooker so I layered them in their and cooked them on high for about 3 1/2 hours. I only added a little bit of water (enough to rinse the soup can) and really didn't need to add any at all. Definately worth the 35 minute prep time!!

Chocolate Chip Pie I

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2003
I love this pie! It is so easy to put together (especially if you cheat and use a store bought crust) and it tastes great. I made it once with the nuts but after the first time I leave them out (we don't like nuts) and don't miss them a bit! My favorite is to serve this warm and have some good vanilla ice cream on hand but it tastes great cooled too.

Beef Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2003
This is just a basic beef and noodle soup recipe. No "special" flavors but just down home good. My family ate it and liked it so we will put this one into our keeper box.

This rolls are SO good! I've made them two days in a row and am looking forward to having them for dinner again tonight! They taste just like the rolls from O'Charley's. Thanks so much Kay!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2002
I LOVE these cookies!! I am kind of a butter snob (grew up on a dairy farm) and hate to use marjarine but that was the only way I could get my cookies soft until this recipe! These cookies are soft and yummy good. I've found that they retain their shape better if you let the dough sit for about 15 to 20 minutes before putting it on cookie sheets. These are wonderful! Thank you so much for posting this recipe.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2002
I know this recipe has been reviewed hundreds of times but I wanted to add my praise. My husband doesn't like to eat chicken, he gets bored with it but he ate seconds of this dish. I make this to use up some of the cheaper brands of ranch dressing that we have on hand. I used real bacon instead of the bacon bits and browned the chicken in the bacon grease (super healthy) and this has turned out wonderfully each time. I think I'll make it again tonight!

Dried Cherry Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2002
I thought this recipe was great! I didn't have vanilla yogurt or pecans on hand so I tried it with black cherry yogurt and almonds instead and thought the flavor was very nice. Best of all it was QUICK! Throw it in the oven just as you are sitting down to dinner and it is piping hot and ready just in time for after dinner coffee!
