About this Cook
Moved out of my parent's house two years ago and recently married. Working toward getting better in the kitchen and cooking more than just pasta. I have given myself the challenge of cooking different entrees by never using the same recipe twice (outside when we have guests). Its worked so far!
My favorite things to cook
Anything that has a twist to it....I love cooking a basic recipe, but it includes an ingredient that is unexpected to make it different!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking baking with the women in my family before the holidays....such a fun day and we make close to 1,000 cookies!
My cooking triumphs
When my husband bragged that he is lucky to have a wife that loves to cook and isn't too bad at it either!
My cooking tragedies
Baking....not the best but getting better with the help from my aunts! :)

Corn and Crab Bisque
Really liked the kick this soup had! I would highly suggest to follow the recipe and use fresh crabmeat. I used canned crab and didn't like the texture with the soup. Next time around I may also try and use whipping cream like the other reviewers said. The soup could of been a little thicker. However overall great recipe and got the hubby's approval!

Seafood Chowder
Great recipe! Used only shrimp, crab, and scallops with adding a little turkey bacon for extra flavor.

Sweet Potatoes with Sausage and Peppers
Made this dish last night and it was pretty good. I boiled the sweet potatoes and then tossed them in my cast iron to brown them a little before adding in the veggies and ground meat. Nice dish to make during a busy week.
