Squash Casserole

Reviewed: May 18, 2011
i love this recipe - so easy! i diced the squash instead of shredding, also chopped an onion, and sauted the veggies until they started to soften, then added to the mixture. this allowed me to cook it for only 20 minutes just to heat it thru. even my picky kid ate two helpings!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2012
this recipe is perfect. i made a double batch, let it rise the first time overnight, punched down the dough, then divided into 10 balls. flattened each one to a 6-8 inch circle, then par baked at 400 for 5 minutes on a cookie sheet sprinkled with corn meal. now i have a freezer full of individual pizza crusts, ready for toppings at a moments notice! thanks for a great recipe!

Grilled Mustard Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
FANTABULOUS! - the exact word my husband used to describe these potatoes! even my 12 year old loved them. the only thing i did differently was to use olive oil instead of canola oil because it's what i had on hand. and i broiled instead of grilled. thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Pasta with Swiss Chard

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
this was pretty good. I followed the recipe except for the fact that I didn't have any olive oil so I sauted the swiss chard in bacon grease, and I added about 6 tablespoons of butter to the final mix. I really enjoyed it, but my husband who has never eaten capers before said "this smells funny" and wouldn't eat it. :-)

Farmer's Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
this was my first time to make bread, and this turned out perfect. I divided the bread into two parts, and baked each in a loaf pan. I let the bread rise in the pan for the second rising. also i turned down the temp on my oven because i don't like a thick crust. my husband and i ate one whole loaf the day i baked it. good thing i have another loaf. :-)

Chef John's Italian Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2014
This recipe is great. I used all beef because I didn't have any pork on hand and also used crushed crackers instead of breadcrumbs and it still turned out fantastic. I used a cookie scoop for uniformity(don't know the number, around the size of a melon baller) and got 70 meatballs out of this recipe. thanks for a great recipe!!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
This recipe is just like IHOP. I used a 1/2 cup measuring cup to make them about the size of IHOP. Take the advice of another commenter and don't stir the batter once it puffs up in the bowl. Thanks for a great recipe!

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
this recipe is perfect. my husband is very picky about cornbread and he said these are better than a certain name brand that starts with a J. I make this recipe as muffins and we are addicted to them. I am going to try adding cooked sausage or bacon and cheese to a batch soon. Thanks for posting this recipe!!!
