Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
This may be the best cake I have ever made. It is absolutely delicious. My mom requests I make this for her birthday every year.

Libby's® Famous Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
I have tried other pumpkin pie recipes, but I always come back to this one. I use a little less ginger than is called for because I feel like it can over power the pie, but other than that it's perfect.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
I will never go back to store bought frosting again. This was so delicious, easy, and fun (bust messy) to make.

Strawberry/Rhubarb Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
This pie smelled and looked delicious. I was especially excited about the topping. Unfortunately, the pie turned out WAY too liquidy to eat even though I added 1 tbsp of cornstarch. I used fresh strawberries and rhubarb so possibly they were too juicy to use in the pie. If I were to make this again I would probably add much more flour.

Irish Soda Bread Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
I don't usually care that much for cookies, but I just finished making these and I can honestly say I LOVE them! I have never had such a cake-like cookie (which is probably why I love them). I used raisins (which I soaked in hot water for 10 minutes before adding to the batter to make them extra plump) instead of currants and I made half without seeds and half with anise seeds (the store was out of caraway seeds). I prefer them without seeds, but my husband prefers them with seeds (it has a slight black licorice after taste with the seeds). I also rolled balls and flattened them on the baking sheet. Delicious!

Holiday Cranberry Chutney

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
I thought this recipe was really tart. I think it might have tasted better with cream cheese as others have suggested, but I didn't have any.

This tasted like cornbread cake. Incredibly moist and delicious. I will definitely be making this for Thanksgiving.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
I really loved the flavor of these potatoes. The garlic really enhances the flavors of the other food you eat. I think it needs some sour cream though to make it more moist. They were still delicious though.

Apple Harvest Pound Cake with Caramel Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
I really liked this cake. I used the 1 cup oil and 1/2 cup applesauce. This cake was so moist and almost tasted like apple pie in cake form.

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
I absolutely loved the taste of the cake batter and the frosting, but when I added the milk my cake became way too soggy to eat. I even waited 2 days as others had suggested, but it's still no good. I may try this recipe again, but without the milk.

Emily's Famous Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
I have made this apple pie for family gatherings for years. I have found I only need about 5 Granny Smith apples though. Absolutely delicious and always get a lot of complements (even from my grandma who says it's just like she used to make).

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
I'm not a very big fan of pork, but this was amazing. (And what's better is it was super simple to make.) It tasted just like it came from a BBQ restaurant. I browned one onion in a pan and then added the onion and a tablespoon of liquid smoke to the broth. I will definitely make this again.
