Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
Absolutely Amazing, Everybody loved it and it went way faster than the store bought cake. I didn't have a pizza pan so I used two nine inch pie pans and it came out PERFECTLY! I had extra batter left over though. It was so easy to make and took so little time. The cookie was so moist and chewy everybody really enjoyed it. I had recipe requests and requests to make more for upcoming events. I will admit that I used King Arthur's white whole wheat flour because I didn't have all-purpose flour, but it worked wonderfully! Will make again, this is my go to dessert now and it is so much easier, quicker, and tastier than baking a real cake

Summerly Squash

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
This was GREAT!!!!!!! I didn't have tomatoes, which I know is a main ingredient, but I added half a green bell pepper (I added it in at the same time the tomato would be added) and the taste was amazing. I also added two pieces of garlic which I simmered with the onion. I also didn't have a bay leaf, so I used some Italian seasoning and a pinch of red chili powder for an extra kick. I really enjoyed it and so did my mother who kept complimenting it. I cut the original recipe in half to serve 3 because it was just the two of us, and we finished the whole pan. I just made this again for my lunch, and I couldn't help to think It would make an AMAZING vegetable panini with some grilled sliced bread topped with some sort of white cheese. YUM!!!!!!! I would have done it if I had some white cheese, maybe pepperjack for me since I like spice : D

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
The Chili was okay, a little spicy for my tastes, I really like spicy mexican food and the hottest salsa, but it comes to chili, I like it a little more milder. My mom seemed to enjoy it because she likes hotter chili and milder mexican food lol. I did add some of my own ingredients such as a zucchini and a half, about a cup and a half of butternut squash, a can of black beans, and a 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon. I really liked my additions because I love a lot of vegetables and beans in my chili. However, the cinnamon could have been left out but that was my fault. Also despite the additions I still felt the chili was a bit too soupy and could have been a tad thicker, so I would suggest cutting down on the water.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
mine did not spread, I used spenda, brown sugar splenda blend, and sugar free vanilla pudding (oz. equivalent is off so I used 2/3 of the big pack) other than the fact they didn't spread, and I had to cook them for like 15-17 minutes because of the thickness they are delicious, my father and brother liked them ; ) and they are super picky. for better results shape them how you want to be shaped and bake for 9 minutes. I did this because I had a little bit left over cookie dough and learned from the first batch i put in the oven. these came out perfect, i must say i kind of like the one's that didn't spread better they are fluffy and kind of cakey like a a cake-cookie hybrid : )

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
I can't give a true review because of my substitutions I used sugar free applesauce for oil, splenda for sugar, and egg beaters for eggs. However it was delicious my diabetic father who actually hates "diet food" loved it, and so did my class who coudln't believe it, many asked for the recipe. It came out more like brownies but still very delicous!!!
