Cheater Baked Ziti

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Hands down the best apple pie I have ever made. I used mostly Granny Smith apples but threw in four large Honey Crisp since I was making a deep dish apple cobbler. I also added a little cinnamon and nutmeg and a few of those little caramel bits before adding the top crust. FABULOUS. Will make again and again! Thanks!

Buttermilk Pound Cake II

This cake is fabulous! I had leftover buttermilk I wanted to use up so I selected this recipe, and I am so glad I did! It was delicious and easy to make. This is the closest I have ever come to my mother's pound cake and she wss a wonderful cook, so that is saying a lot for this recipe! I will make this cake again and again. Thanks so much for this recipe.

Fruit Pizza II

I made two large fruit pizzas for a ladies church function. I took other reviewers' advice and added marshmallow creme, vanilla and a little powdered sugar to the whipped topping (I used extra creamy) and cream cheese mixture. Excellent advice! It tastes fantastic! I had two of the large 30 oz. sugar cookie dough rolls, so I doubled everything in the recipe to make the two large pizzas. I made them the day before and refrigerated them overnight, then added the glaze the next day before the function. I made too much glaze though (but the glaze is delicious). I won't double that part of the recipe the next time I make more than one fruit pizza. Everyone loved them. I got two large pizza boxes to put them in for transport. They were so pretty. One of the ladies asked me where I bought them! Will make this again! Thanks for the recipe!

Sweet Tamale Pie

I made this for dinner tonight and everyone loved it! When it was done baking, I pulled it out of the oven and added French fried onions and a layer of the shredded cheese on top, then popped it back in the oven until the cheese melted. YUM! THANKS!

Chinese Pork Chops

I marinated this overnight and made no changes to the recipe for the marinade. My husband grilled the pork outside on a charcoal grill. I didn't get to taste it but my family said they liked it. It certainly looked delicious. If there were any leftovers, I plan to eat them tonight.

Grilled Romaine Salad

I love the grilled romaine and the tomatoes are fantastic. I could eat the roasted tomatoes every day! I made the dressing according to the recipe with the exception of substituting zero calorie brown sugar sweetener. While the dressing tastes good, it is really strong and I was tasting it all night! In the middle of the night I had to get out of bed and gargle AGAIN to kill the shallot flavor. Still, the dressing was delicious and I will definitely make it again. Next time I will lessen the amount of shallots to one, and see if if that makes any difference.

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

I made this cheesecake as directted, only changing the pan. I used a 10x13 pan so that the brownie crust would be spread out and not too thick, I dusted the mini chips with flour so that they wouldn't sink. After it cooled, I drizzled the top with chocolate syrup and sprinkled on a couple of handfuls of the leftover mini chocolate chips. Huge hit in our house. Delicious!

Colossal Caramel Apple Trifle

I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it! I followed the recipe as written except for cubing the cake, otherwise I left everything the same. Fantastic! Great for large gatherings because this makes a very large trifle.

Garlic Chicken

I made this for dinner and everyone seemed to like it. I had to add more crumbs and cheese though. It did take longer to get the breading cooked to my liking, which in turn overcooked the chicken.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

I made this slaw for Memorial Day and it was a hit at our house. I doubled the recipe as I had a crowd to feed. I like slaw a little tangy so I added a little more vinegar to mine and kept tasting along the way to make sure I didn't overdo it. Will definitely make this one again.
