About this Cook
I don't like spending a lot of time in the kitchen, so I prefer recipes that are quick or can be cooked in slow cooker or pressure cooker. This allows me to multitask and do other things.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook soups- the one dish wonders where you get all your food groups in one dish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is always one of my favorites. My family always has cornbread dressing and lots of baked pies and cakes
My cooking triumphs
I have had success using the recipes from this website and have had requests for more of the jambalaya, sweet potato pie, and buttermilk pie
My cooking tragedies
Well there was that one time when....I fell asleep and burned the pot (lol)

Sauteed Cabbage
I love this recipe. It's so simple. I used red cabbage, my personal preference and season to my tastes. This is definitely a keeper.

Cajun Chicken Pasta
This recipe was excellent. I typically don't like pasta but wanted to try something different for my anniversary dinner. I have 2 words "Loved It".I used evaporated milk and added flour to thicken. I doubled the chicken and added onions less peppers. Of course I used a lot more cajun season to put a kick to it.
