My favorite things to cook
Recently getting into baking due to stand mixer acqisition. Love to cook all sorts from casseroles to soups to roasted this and that. I make the bomb fried chicken. Always organic, of course!

Roasting a chicken in my the rummertopf that my Omi gave me.
My cooking triumphs
Recently have been cakes and breads. I have really gotten the hang of baking and love it with a passion.
My cooking tragedies
Chicken Picatta is my favorite Italian dish and I have never been able to make it. I just cannot figure out what I am doing wrong!

Spicy Orange Chicken Wing Sauce
I cooked the chicken wings my usual way- barely seasoned and naked on a lipped cookie sheet in the oven at 425 for about an hour. Then I made this sauce and tossed the wings. I made it basically EXACTLY as stated except used half the amount of sriracha- for the kids sake (but we had a bottle at the table for us). This is a really great recipe! I looked at it in the pan and thought it did not look like much so I doubled it. MISTAKE. A little goes a long way of this stuff! Oh well, I will just use the leftovers for a slow cooker meal I think. (shredded orange chicken breast, anyone??) Seriously finger lickin' deliciousness.

Tasty Tuna Burgers
I made these one week when I was on a budget because I already almost everything for them. Wasn't expecting much but WOW! Was I suprised! Thanks for the recipe...

Chicken Breasts with Herb Basting Sauce
