Boardwalk Quality Maple Walnut Fudge

Meh. This fudge was super easy to make and had a decent texture but it tasted very strongly of milky white chocolate; this is despite having added 2.5 times the suggested amount of maple flavoring. Probably wont be my "go-to" maple fudge recipe. Also note that this fudge gets quite soft when stored at room temperature...I had to keep it in the fridge to keep it solid.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Didn't have an extra egg for the egg yolk so I added one whole egg plus 1.5 Tablespoons of heavy whipping cream. Turned out really delicious. These cookies are perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside!

Baklava

Need to make to make 50% more syrup (x 1.5). Cooling the syrup while the baklava is prepared/baked makes for a crispier final product.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

This frosting was really good and very spreadable. I used the 1/3 fat neufchatel cheese rather than full fat cream cheese which still worked out well and tasted rich and creamy.

Black Magic Cake

This cake turned out really well..moist and fluffy. I frosted with chocolate cream cheese frosting and it was delish! The only change I made to the recipe is that I used three tablespoons of instant coffee mixed with one cup of hot water substituted for the one cup of strong brewed coffee.

Fondue Bread

Delicioso! I made this with half the amount of cheese and it was still wonderfully cheesy. I also added some hot pepper flakes to the cheese/egg mixture for some added flavor!...if you like spice, this is a delicious addition. I also made this recipe a second time with shredded mozzarella cheese with added garlic and italian herbs...so good with italian food!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Really Good! I used only 4 C of flour, and used bread flour instead of all purpose. I also cut the sugar down to 1/4 C and baked at 400 deg for 10 min. To finish them off I brushed each pretzel with melted butter. FYI...you can also get away with making only half of the baking soda solution to dip the pretzels in. This was still way more than enough. Enjoy!

Chocolate Mint Brownies

These are to die for. Definitely the biggest hit at any party I bring them to. For an added touch I used a drop of red food coloring in the minty topping for this valentine's day. Green would be fitting too. I also replaced the creme de menthe with 1.5 tsp. of mint extract (+ 2 Tbsp. + 1.5 tsp. water to make up for the loss of liquid).

Carrot Pineapple Cake I

This was delicious. I also added 1/2 C. golden raisins and 1/2 C. black raisins soaked in apple juice for 2 hrs. This addition worked out well and contributed to the moisture of this cake. I would definitely make this again.

Baked Corn Pudding

Not what I was expecting. This didn't go over very well at the dinner table. Seemed like a custard with corn in it. The taste is okay but the aesthetics were not so good.
