Omelet in a Bag

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2014
Love this recipe! Thanks for the exact time because I'm always iffy on that. I use this a lot and put in whatever ingredients I have in the fridge that sounds good for the day. FYI - these don't look very big, but don't add more eggs! They seems to grown in the bag as you cook them. And to Sue, you definitely need to use freezer bags vs. sandwich bags. They are thicker and don't melt. Just be very careful to keep them off the side of the pan above the water line while cooking.

Comforting Cube Steaks

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2013
I tried this recipe exactly as written except added some fresh mushrooms. (mushroom lover house!)It was very easy and tasty. I used generic lemon/lime soda and I think mine came out slightly too sweet. May not happen with brand name. Next time I may just cut down on the amount of soda a little. I had a house full of people (kids and grown ups) and everyone loved it. Even got asked for the recipe by the parents for their normally finiky eaters.

This is a GREAT salad. I've made it for 3 get togethers now and everyone raves about it. Don't change a thing. Perfect how it is.

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
I've been making this for years! I rated it 4 because I change a couple of things. I substitue havarti for swiss (personal taste) and instead of bread crumbs on top I use stove top stuffing. It is delicious and get praises from every person that has tried it from kiddos to my grandparents!

Mini Crescent Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
I was really surprised at how good these were! I paired them with some homemade soup. (cream of mushroom from this site) While I made the soup my 8 year old rolled the meat and cheese. She had a blast "making them" and it was so quick. Great weekday meal!!

Onion Pan-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
I made this the other night and the whole family loved them! I tweaked a little. Make sure that you season your flour or even better yet, what I used was a "southern fry" mix (all sorts of brands make it and it's seasoned allready). I was using rather thick pork chops. I dipped them in egg then the onion soup/flour mix - back in egg and did it again. I fried them for a few minutes on each side till a nice golden brown then stuck them in a pre-heated over on 375 for a few more minutes until the meat thermometer read 160. (use a broiler pan so you keep crisp bottoms too). This let the grease drain and really crisped up the coating. DELICIOUS!!!

New England Clam Chowder I

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
This recipe is fantastic!! I had never made clam chowder but this made it easy and a family hit. 2nd time I made it I did add about 2 tablespoons of flour to slightly thicken it and the rest of the clam juice. It was a great addition. Make sure you cook the bacon very crips otherwise it will get chewy.
