Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2002
I thought this was excellent. My husband thought it was just okay. I halved the recipe because there's just the two of us, and I added a bit more broth because it cooked down a lot. Good recipe, I'll use it again. :)

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2002
this was so hot i nearly burned a hole in my tongue. i even diluted it with an extra can of chicken broth and it was still way too hot. i would recommend leaving out the cayenne pepper or the jalapenos, or both, because this is wayyyyy too hot.

Chocolate-Cherry Thumbprints

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2002
These were okay. I don't much like oatmeal in cookies, and these turned out about like I expected them to. A bit dry for my taste and not really much flavor. They look pretty though.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars III

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2002
I thought these were pretty good. I followed the recipe exactly, but my peanut butter mixture was not crumbly at all, it was like thick peanut butter, so it was hard to spread, it turned out more marbled than layered...maybe I should refrigerate it first next time??? They were good anyhow, just not as pretty.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2002
These were really good. The only problem I had was this...I roasted the garlic for only 30 minutes, and it burned to a crisp...I would really recommend cutting down the roasting time. Since I didn't have any more fresh garlic, and it would have taken too long to roast some more anyway, I just used some minced garlic from a jar, and they turned out really yummy anyway. Next time I'll roast the garlic for about 15-20 minutes and see what happens.

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2002
I thought these were very good. I didn't have any fresh mushrooms, so I used canned and they turned out great...probably even better with fresh mushrooms. They were so tender they practically fell off the bone, and I literally could cut them with a fork. And easy?...fuhgeddaboudit! I will definitely make these again and again.

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2002
I made this for Mr. Picky (my husband) and he even had seconds, which is very unusual. I thought it was delicious also. The only change I made was to use Italian bread crumbs instead of plain ones. I will definitely make this again and again! Thanks!

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2002
these were pretty good. i simmered them in the crock pot, and i had to double the sauce recipe to get all the wings coated. they just weren't really all that hot...maybe i needed to simmer longer, or maybe next time i'll buy a hotter hot sauce. overall though, this is a good, easy, quick recipe. thanks :)

Swedish Meatballs I

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2002
This was a really good recipe...I had to make a few modifications, though. Instead of the cream of wheat, I used Italian bread crumbs, and I used 1/2 cup instead of 1/4 cup. Also, I only used half of the can of evaporated milk, which made my sauce a bit thicker. Finally, I added about 1/2 tsp. black pepper, otherwise it would have been a bit bland. This way, it was wonderful. My husband, normally a picky eater, said I could make this dish again anytime!
