Crazy Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2002
Wonderful, SIMPLE cake. I had a bit of a hard time getting it out of the pan, so next time I would light grease it; I use glass pans. It turned out perfect and everyone enjoyed it!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: May 23, 2002
This turned out wonderfully! My husband's mom used to make him chicken and dumplings and I wasn't about to do all THAT work, the crockpot one turned out GREAT (he says he liked it more, but I think he has to say that!). I did end up cooking the biscuits about 45 minutes longer and it turned out perfect. Also, I would cook it on high the whole time. In fact, I turned it on low when I set it up and it was cooked just fine when I got home 10 hours later. Added the biscuits and yum! A keeper!

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: May 22, 2002
Yum! I used a Duncan Hines Pineapple Surpreme instead of white cake and subbed the juice for the water and OMG. Make SURE you make it in a cast iron pot. It makes a BEAUTIFUL cake... and it was wonderful! My family wants this again already, I just made it 3 days ago!!!

Parmesan Chicken I

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2002
My husband and I LOVED this! It turned out great! My 17 month old didn't care for it though, I think it was a little too flavorful for him... plus I added extra cheese :) Definately a keeper! A nice casserole type of thing!

No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2002
This was pretty good! I used frozen chicken breasts, cooked on high for 1 hour, then down to low for another 6 hours. We served it over noodles. VERY good. I was impressed, it's so simple!

Slow Cooker Chicken Continental

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2002
There MUST be a typo in this recipe. It calls for 2 oz. jars of dried beef. I used 2 2.5 oz jars and it was pretty salty. Next time I would use one small jar and layer it VERY sparingly. The recipe itself is WONDERFUL! I used frozen breasts, cooked on high for one hour then on low for 7. It was GREAT! I'm most definately use this one again!

Linnie's Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2002
This is WONDERFUL! I never make Spanish Rice because of all the cutting up and work involved, but this was super easy! I used a mild salsa and my 15 month even loved it! This is a GREAT recipe! Definately a keeper!

Child-Proof Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2002
I really didn't care for this dough recipe. It wasn't sweet enough to be sugar cookies, I ended up making a lemon glaze to go over the top. Plus if you roll it out more than once, it got too crumbly. I wouldn't use this one again. It WAS easy, but not worth wasting my time on.

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2002
This is an AWESOME cake. By far the best chocolate cake I've ever made. I made it for my husband's 30th birthday and it turned out tasting very good. My only complaint is that it's almost TOO moist because it tore up coming out of the pans. Yummy though!! I also used Dutch Processed Hershey's cocoa and it really came out smooth and wonderful. I'd recommend it!
