Donna's Cheesy Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
I added sauteed mushrooms/bell peppers/and turkey instead of onions, 4 eggs instead or 3, and some chopped chives because they were lying around. I cooked the quiche an extra 20 minutes and the middle still came out wet! Reduce the 1 cup milk for 1/2 cup and its perfect. I used a frozen pie crust. Overall this is very easy and versatile.

Hot Spiked Cider

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
The first time I followed this recipe exactly except used 1 cup Capt. Morgan's instead of 1 1/2 cups. It tasted pretty good but diluted, like all the flavors were there but needed to be stronger. The second time I did without the water but still used the tea bags, increased the apple cider and added some orange juice and a little lime juice, for some kick. delicious! If your unsure about how much alcohol add little by little and taste test until just right. I let it sit on low in a crock pot. Very good after those changes!

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
Bake the bottom crust 5 min or until crispy before adding the fruit and top crumble. No other complaints! I used thawed& drained frozen fruits but I'm sure fresh fruits would be even more scrumptious!

Spicy Brown Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
Pretty good overall but here are a few suggestions: I used a Dijon mustard=very good! But go easy on the lemon/water drizzle because the chicken was swimming in greasy water to the point where the crumbs didn't stick. Broil the chicken for the last couple minutes to keep it crispy.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
SO MOIST! I used 1/2 cup sour cream instead of yogurt, 3 ripe bananas (which equals 1 heaping cup) and toasted walnuts. Yummy

Chicken and Pasta Casserole with Mixed Vegetables

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
This is a quick easy recipe and mine was not dry at all! Instead I used 2 cups pasta, 1 can of condensed soup, a dollop of sour cream, and drizzled milk around the edges half-way through baking. Also crumbled potato chips on top are delicious!
