About this Cook
Love to cook for my family of 6! We have four girls ages 20,17,16 and 3. We live in Ca on the coast and enjoy camping, fishing, bbqing and hanging with family and friends.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, I also love adding my own touches to recipes and putting spins on them. I have a few cooking goals and look forward to working on those in 2011.
My favorite family cooking traditions
passed down recipes from my grandma. I love looking at her handwritting and then being able to cook her awesome dishes that make us all happy!
My cooking triumphs
Our homemade tamales that we made at our home last year. It was a huge hit. Family and friends loved them and we will for sure do it again this year!
My cooking tragedies
My chicken and rice casserole. Smelled super yummy BUT I forgot to add the foil to the top of the pan so it turned out yuckoooooo!!!

Quick and Easy Chicken
Family LOVED it, even my picky eater! I tripled the mixture and held back 2.5 tbsp sugar, it was perfect! This ends up being a unique sauce, making the chicken super tender and perfect served over rice. This will be on our menu now, thank you for taking the time to share!

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever
This is the greatest peanut butter cookie recipe! Easy, and delish!!!! My family are big fans of the peanut butter cookies so we have tried a few, and this one is yummy! I take out of our oven in 9 minutes so the middles are soft with a slight crunch for the edges!!!

Carrot, Potato, and Cabbage Soup
This recipe has been in our family for years. It sounds like it wouldn't be yummy, but trust me, it is super easy and delish! My kids love it and when I make it, each time I make it a little bit bigger so everyone can have left overs the next day for lunch. This is a recipe staple in our home.(I do not blend mine, we like it hearty and our recipe looks just like picture number three)
