Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
Delicious and very moist. I tweaked only a little. Instead of butter, I used applesauce. And I used one egg instead of two. I baked it for 600 mins and let it stand for 10 then served it. My daughter dislikes breads but with this one she took a huge chunk. It went fast. I will make it again.

Outrageously good! A friend of the family makes this for us and I wanted to try my hand... have all the ingredients and went ahead. This was so good I had to hide it in the fridge! Thanks for sharing.

Fudge Brownies I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
I followed this recipe exactly as stated and it turned out a gooey mixture. I am giving it one star because it was very tasty. I used another brownie recipe from another site and that turned out great and I ixed those with this mixture. They were yummy!

No Roll Pie Crust I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
A great basic no roll pie crust. I used this for a banana cream pie and just sprinkled some sugar on the pie before baking. The result was a good flaky pie crust which only took minutes to make. The pie itself was wonderful and the crust was not soggy. I think this deserves a 5 star because it did exactly what the recipe intended.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
This recipe deserves a solid 5 star rating. I followed directions as per recipe with a simple pie crust recipe I've always used and this pie was a sensation. Family was eating it right out of the refrigerator; it never made it to the dinner table. I will be making this again and placing this recipe in my permanent cookbook. This is a keeper.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
I've been looking for a great all-around sugar cookie recipe (I've tried too many to count). Other recipes were good but nothing extraordinary. I wanted a recipe that I could tweak as I baked; change size; decoration; etc without compromising the taste. Well, this is it! All I did was add an extra cup of sugar and up vanilla to 1 1/2 tsp. I made sure the eggs were room temperature (just a peeve I have lol!) And I rolled the dough with confectioner's sugar. Kept the dough in fridge for about 2 hours since I was pressed for time. These were made for my daughter's Thanksgiving school party (she volunteered me and then told me only two days before). She asked me for the best sugar cookie ever LOL!!! So I found this, stayed up til 3am and I got a super super sugar cookie. My daughter gave it her blessings (this is from a choc-a-holic) and they are simply additive. I tried the icing here from JBS Box and it was perfect for this cookie. What I LOVED about this dough is that I was able to use it with cookie cutters large and small; I made thumbprint cookies with it and placed jam in the center; I decorated with colored icing; with colored sugar; with flavored sugar; I made them little, medium and large and no matter how I tweaked, the dough and flavor never changed. I don't know why some people are having trouble. I noticed several said dough was sticky so they added extra flour which made it dry. One has to roll dough in powdered sugar. It's the best! Thanks, Jill!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
Wow! I have to give this 5 stars. My usual banana bread recipe calls for nuts and I was looking for something most and different. I followed instructions exactly as stated and made a loaf around 11am today. By 4pm it was gone with only a sliver left. Hubby comes home around 8pm so I made a second loaf and I had to fight my daughter and her friends off to save him a slice. This is a great recipe, nothing to add or reduce because its perfect the way it is. If you love banana bread you MUST try this recipe. I've added it to my permanent scrapbook. Thanks for posting it!!

Spinach Frittata

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
I made this for myself, my husband and 13 year old (a VERY picky eater). It was great. I'd never made a frittata before and I decided to use this recipe. It looked easy and yummy. Well, it was and my 13 year old? She ate her portion and half of her father's too!
