Calico Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
Gave it a four because of prep time. Made it for the first time Saturday night and took it to a pot luck. It got rave reviews. I loved it, but will have to figure out how to make it more diabetic friendly.

Hot Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2006
Gave this recipe to my daughter who can't cook to take to a work lunch. She called me so excited because someone had asked her for a recipe. They have asked her to bring this recipe several times since then. We use about 1/2 the jalapenos, but friends we have given the recipe to prefer the whole amount.

This was my first try at Gumbo, and it was fantastic! All four couples at our dinner wanted your recipe. Thanks for sharing!

We won't be making this one again. Too soupy, cheesy and bland.

Cheesecake Supreme

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2005
Muffy, this is the greatest. I've now made it twice. The second time I took it to a church party for 70 people. The class leader stood up and asked "Who made that cheesecake?" There were raving reviews from all. I did bake it for 10 minutes at 450 and then dropped it down to 200 for 3 hours as others mentioned. This is the BEST

Apple-Raisin French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2005
Took this recipe to a church social this morning and had 5 people ask me for the recipe. Some man I didn't know followed me out of the church to ask me for the recipe for his wife. The only sad part about this recipe is its appearance. My husband's comment was if you had the courage to try it, that it was very good.

Recipe was great--even for my collegian who doesn't like pork. It is messy to prepare. Will put it in my recipe box.

Impossible Buttermilk Pie

Great way to use leftover buttermilk. Very simple. Very yummy. VERY RICH. Will do this again and serve with fruit to offset the richness.

Egg and Sausage Casserole

Great recipe. We tried the recipe this morning and got rave reviews from all--including gourmet cook daughter, and picky eater daughter. I added the recipe to my recipe box and will definitely do it again.

We had a friend bring the fixins for this on a lake vacation with us. We served it tonight to 14 people. This casserole got rave reviews from all and will certainly be a keeper.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2002
It is easy to prepare. My husband asked that we not repeat the recipe and that is not normal. My son did not like all the sour cream. In my opinion, this would be be better if left unbaked and used as a dip for the chips.

Bodacious Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2002
We tried this recipe several years ago when it first was published in Southern Living. We made it for a super bowl party and it was definitely a hit. It takes a while to make and for all the flavors to blend, but it is well worth the wait. My husband LOVES to make it.
