Banana Peanut Butter Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
I love peanut butter and banana sandwiches so I had to try this recipe. It is a simple recipe I had to bake it for another 5 minutes for it to finish. The taste is amazing. Will be baking this again for sure!

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
This is the same way I have made mine for years, minus the milk, and I have not had one complaint yet. It is so simple and easy. I've seen other recipes that add a lot of things to it, but what is the point?! Sometimes the classics are just better. With all the cooking going on during the holidays, this is one of the easiest dishes to make.

Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
So simple and cheap and this is the kind of meals we are looking for right now. This made a ton of food that we will eat off for days. I strayed a little by adding 1 can of vegetable broth and 2 pounds of sausage. I didn't have any yogurt or sour cream but plan on using the yogurt next time I made it. This will definitely become a regular meal when we need to save some cash. Thanks for sharing it.

Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
I give it 3 stars for the fact that it is an easy dinner to fix, but it lacked on taste. We ate over 2 hours ago and everything still taste and smells like garlic. Don't get me wrong, we love garlic, we use it ALL the time, but with this it's all you taste. It is a good platform to start from, but don't stick with it alone. Thanks for sharing it, but it's not for us.

Think I'm going to try some other peoples recommendations. This was pretty good, but seems like it's missing something. Don't hesitate to try it though.

Baked Chicken and Zucchini

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
Wasn't sure what to make for dinner last night & I came across this recipe & figured I'd give it a try. The directions seemed simple enough, & they truly are. I give it 5 stars because of how simple it is to make, the taste was fabulous (my wife REALLY loves it & couldn't wait to have it for leftovers again today) and it didn't take long to cook it. Give it a try & see what you think, you can always change it up to your liking. I actually used squash along with the zucchini.

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
My wife asked what desert I wanted for Father's Day, & I picked this. OMG, this thing is SO good. She made it in a 9X13 pan & melted the chocolate chips on top. I seriously have gained 5lbs because of this thing, but it was so worth it. I sure am looking forward to next years Father's Day so I can taste this again.

Tuna Fish Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2011
The first time I made this I didn't have celery or parsley & it was fantastic. We couldn't wait to make it again & today was that day. Well this time we added ALL the ingredients (we still only used 1/4c mayo). Needless to say we like it better the way we made it the first time. Maybe we won't use as much celery (that's what we think did it). It is still a great recipe that we will be making again, just with not as much celery.

A Peanutty S'more

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
It tastes great and it's a nice change up from the normal s'mores. I have to say though that the taste reminds me of the Reese's whipped candy bar, minus the graham cracker.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2011
Followed the directions directly and they looked fantastic. The taste however was not appealing. I'm a good ol southern boy that loves southern cooking, but sometimes I like to try something different. This is one of those times that I wish I hadn't tried something. I give it 3 stars cause it was easy to make, but the taste just didn't make us happy. Not going to be making this again, or even any variance of it.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
Fantastic ribs! I made 2 slabs of these & there was none. Everybody oohhdd & aahhdd when I pulled them out of the oven. I HIGHLY recommend using Cathy M's rub (I think it's review #3). I will be making these again, & have already been told to let the family know when I'm making them again so they can come over.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
OMG, this was fantastic. I did stray from the original recipe cause I didn't have any bread crumbs, but I did read one review that mentioned using croutons so I used the ones we had which were "Fresh Gourmet Cheese & Garlic". I also only had 2 pieces of chicken which I did flatten, so I decided to cut the ingredients in half & WOW what an amazing flavor. I read some reviews that said there was not much of a "wake up" to the chicken & I think that they should make it again & just add a little more ingredients. This tastes fantastic. I made it after my wife went to bed so she will be having it for lunch tomorrow & I expect a call around lunch time praising how good this is ;) I will be making this again for sure. Thank You for this wonderful & very tasty recipe.

Fried Okra

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
This was fantastic after a few modifications. I actually added some garlic powder as well as onion powder. My wife said that it was better then Gran Gran's. That's saying a lot cause that woman can cook. It is even good cold. I think the key thing was the extra ingredients as well as cooking it in a cast iron skillet. I'm making it again tonight. Thanks for a great base recipe.
