Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
These are easy to make, tastes great, and excellent for a quick dinner. My 2.5yr old daughter loves them. I added some cayenne pepper to the 2nd batch, and loved the spicy version as well. It's so good to have them oven baked instead of frying, feels much healthier, yet can indulge at the same time in some crispy chicken.

Croissants

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
Perfect croissant, fresh from the oven is just beautiful, just like in a little French bakery. I made some au chocolat, that was hands down the best! Followed the 20min freeze/40min chill method, thinly sliced chilled butter with my knife, didn't smear, just pat it into the dough gently. Did it in 4-5 hours. Will roll out the rest of the dough tonight to rise slowly, and bake it first thing in the morning. Can just imagine the smell in the house early in the morning. Life is beautiful when you have a croissant with a hot latte, without even leaving the house! Thank you for sharing this beautiful recipe. I feel accomplished and fulfilled.

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
I find these cookies a bit too dry and yet greasy, not the chewy kind that I was looking for. That being said, anything with chocolate chips inside tastes pretty good. I do like them, but will search for another choc chip cookie recipe.

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
This is an easy and excellent recipe for carrot cake. I cut my sugar to only 1/2 cup, and it was plenty sweet from the pineapple and raisins. What a beautiful springtime cake with fresh carrots! So easy to whip together. Will never have to buy another carrot cake again!

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
Did these, nothing too exciting to rave about. I've done my wings with soy sauce, honey & five spices, and they turn out better than these. These are too much trouble, and not enough results to show for it. The flour just didn't work for me, didn't turn out like I expected at all. Will stick to my normal wing recipe, which is easy and reliable.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
This is indeed delicious and moist, very delightful bread to make in the winter. I used fresh pumpkin, always tastes better than the canned puree. I found 2 cups of sugar is plenty sweet, half white sugar and half brown sugar. I can't imagine using 3 cups of sugar for this. I ended up with 1 loaf of bread (baked for 1hr10min) and 15 muffins (45min). This was easy and beautiful. Will definitely make it whenever I can. I will try other reviewers' suggestion and do a cinnamon butter drizzle on top next time.

Holiday Wreath Treats™

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
These are so simple to make, we did it in no time at all, and looks great at the end. Except the buttered hands get quite messy, and my first couple of ones weren't that great. So butter your hands b/w each wreath, that's the secret to this. But overall, it was a great treat for my kid's class, they really enjoyed, and it's a different twist from the traditional cookies and all.

Home Made Top Tarts!

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
Awesome idea! I loved making it, very easy. We live in China, have hawthornberries in season right now. So I used my homemade hawthornberry jam inside, which is kind of sour & sweet, turned out beautifully! So easy to do. My daughter loves it. Great breakfast/snack item

Bagel and Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
This is an easy to make recipe, great for brunch for a big group. It's especially a day saver b/c you prepare it the night before, so very little effort in the morning. It tastes great freshly hot from the oven. But it's a bit on the heavy side for our family, soooo much egg and milk. But then again, once in a while, for a big brunch group, it's an impressively easy dish to do. I added some cut up German sausage in addition to the bacon, gave it an additional dimension. Basically, it's a baked omelet. I skipped the parmesan, didn't really see the need for it. Was perfect with only cheddar in the mix.

Play Dough Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
This is an amazing recipe! It rolls just like playdough, even better, because it doesn't leave little droplets all over the floor. My kids loved playing with this, they shaped all kinds of things with this dough. We made lollipops, sunflowers, hearts, little girl's head, mickey, just all kinds of fun. It's super easy to prepare, takes no time at all. I freeze the dough for 1 hr if I want to speed it up. But other than that, it's perfect for an afternoon of fun playing and eating. I made it for birthday parties as well, they were a great hit! Just can't rave enough about this recipe.

Simple and beautiful pie! Loved it, and so did everyone else. It's sooooo easy making this pudding, makes me wonder why people would buy desserts in a box... Thanks for sharing. This is a great recipe for leftover banannas, or just any time you need a yummy pie!

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Love this bread machine recipe. It's so easy to throw together, and it tastes great! It's full of flavor, and indeed has a very moist feel to it. I usually don't like breadmachine breads, but this one is sooo good, on the 1st day, and on the 3rd day... Will definitely make into our family staple!

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
Super easy to make, and tasted great. My apple ended up a bit runny, so I overbaked it a few minutes. That made the crumbs on top too crispy. Next time I'll just take out the pie and let it cool down and come together. Overall, very tasty pie.

Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
Super easy, super success! We all loved it. It tasted so fresh and yummy from my own oven. Won't be buying any more store made ones anymore. Can make this anytime! If you don't want to make so many pitas, you can use leftover dough to make little dinner rolls. It's the same dough recipe. Or can add some sun-dried tomatoes and flaxseeds to make the rolls nice and flavorful. Cool recipe

Autumn Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
This is a fantastic muffin. I used dry cranberries since I live in China, don't have the fresh ones, but they turned out fabolous. I love the combination of slightly sweet/sour apples with the sweet muffin, very nice autumny taste. I added a ton of cinnamon b/c I just love the cinnamon flavor. I halved the oil and sugar (subbed brown sugar instead), so they were slightly less fatty :). enjoy the fruits of the fall!

Fluffy Biscuits

Very very good. I followed one reviewer's comment, used half butter and half shortening. Came out perfect. I also added 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar, turned them into cheddar biscuits. Just heavenly! I'm from the South, this is pretty close to those truck stop biscuits :)
