Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2014
I have a recipe similar to this, but it takes longer to cook, so I thought I'd give this one a try. I made it exactly the way it said, except adding some sliced onion to the dish. The pork chops were not tender at all. They were hard to chew and the gravy was runny. Will use my tried and trued recipe in the future.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
The name is very misleading. It in no way tastes like baked potato soup. If you are looking for a soup that tastes like baked potatoes, try Baked Potato Soup III by Carol. That said, this soup was delicious and my family loved it. The basil adds a unique flavor. I will be making this again in about a week for a dinner party.

Baked Corn II

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
My family thought this was bland. They said for the hour we waited for this to cook, we could have just heated the corn out of the can and it would have tasted just as good.

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
We LOVE bacon, so this was a perfect recipe for our family. Letting the tomatoes drain well ahead of time on a paper towel was definitely a good idea to keep this dip nice and thick.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
The chili was okay, but I thought it had the flavor of sloppy joes. Not really the flavor I was looking for in a chili.

Strawberry Romaine Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
I've served this salad twice in the past 3 weeks and both times the recipe was requested by more than one person. It is perfect for summer. I took some others' advice and used a little less milk, chopped the onion (no Bermuda so I used Vidalia) very fine and added it to the dressing mix, and I offered Almond Accents as a sweet, crunchy topper.

Fantasy Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
This is my favorite fudge. I make it every year for Christmas. Instead of the Bakers Chocolate I use a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Love this cake! Have made it several times and everyone raves. I only make half the glaze as the first time I made it, most of it ended up on the plate instead of on the cake.

Bone-In Ham Cooked in Beer

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
As RR would say, this was yum-o. Used a 10 lb hame and baked for 5 hours at a slightly reduced temp, basting occasionally. Ham was falling apart.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Easter lunch was way easier since I was able to peel, cut and boil the night before. As others suggested, I added some milk before baking. Very tasty.

Cooked this for Easter lunch. Used 2 bunches of asparagus and barely had leftovers.

Very easy and very tasty. Loved throwing everything into the crockpot and leaving it to do it's thing.

This was delicious! Several folks were headed to Hawaii this summer and I served this with rice, creamed corn and Hawaiian rolls for a pre-trip meeting in our office. Everyone loved it.

Almond Mandarin Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2006
Made this for bunco. It was very easy and very good. I used bagged mixed lettuce and spinach and took the suggestion for honey roasted almonds. We were practically licking the bowl clean!

Yum-Yum Corn

Came across this recipe years ago and now I make it pretty much every holiday. I use 2-3 cans of corn, well drained. It is rich and appropriately named - Yummy.

Marinated Mushrooms II

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2002
I made these mushrooms ahead of time for a Super Bowl Sunday appetizer for my vegetarian mother and then I forgot to set them out! My co-workers were glad because they got to eat them the next day. Everyone enjoyed the flavor and several people asked for the recipe.

Southern Potato Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2002
I made this to go with brisket on Super Bowl Sunday and everyone loved it. I used gold potatoes and added some finely chopped onion. It tasted good as leftovers the next day, too!
