Sour Cream Refrigerator Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
I have always been known for my mashed potatoes, so my standards are very high. I absolutely love this recipe! Now I can enjoy my company instead of standing in the kitchen cooking. The recipe is great as is but as you make it more you wind up putting your own spin on it. I like to put crumbled bacon, cheddar, and green onions on top for a great pot luck take along. I will make this one for years to come and have passed it on to many people. Great, great, recipe. Thanks a million.

Breakfast Casserole II

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2003
This recipe was okay. It didn't really have a lot of flavor and was kind of dry. The pork sausage was the redeeming factor, without that it would have been a bust.

Basil Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2003
This was awsome! I made it for the first time to take to a gathering on the 4th of July. Everyone gobbled this down fast all the while oohing and awwing at how good it was. I did modify slightly because I do not care for course ground mustard so I used dijon and it was perfect. I have since used this marinade on thin sliced chiken breasts that I served over pesto fettucine, MMM. The fresh basil on the meat makes a great presentation. Bravo!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2003
This was wonderful. Although they sound like a lot of work they aren't too time consuming. I took the advice of another reviewer and cut the baking time to half hour without sauce and half hour with sauce. I served the chops and gravey with stuffing and roasted asparagus, it was awsome. It looks great too, use this when you need a great presentation. This recipe is now one of my signatures. Thanks for sharing.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2003
Great idea, I can't believe I did figure this out for myself. This is so easy, there is just my husband and I so we can easily make 2-3 meals out of one chicken. I will shred some up for burritos, or chicken salad. The great thing is it can cook while I'm at work! Yippee!

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2003
For some reason this recipe did not work for me. It just wound up to be a buttery steak with no real flavor. It's kind of like someone left out a really important element of this recipe. Oh well.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2003
Sorry to go against the grain on this one,but I followed the recipe exactly and we did not like it at all. The chicken was tender so I guess that was okay. We really did not care for the flavor of the sauce. The ingredients were somewhat random and did not create a harmonious flavor. I actually didn't feel well after eating this. Sorry.

I really enjoyed this recipe it was easy and delicious. I served it for Christmas brunch and it was a hit. I used fresh broccoli, ham, and shredded swiss, mmmm! The nutmeg really makes this recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2001
I should have listened to the one review that said this recipe was dry. They were not a hit with anyone I served them to. These cookies didn't have much flavor either. If you want a bland version of a chewy store bought cookie, this is your recipe.

Honey Pork with Peppers

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2001
I was not impressed with this one. It was very sweet and didn't really have all that much flavor. Also, I don't think pork loin is the best cut of meat for this. It became extremely dry by the end of the cooking process and I followed the directions very carefully. I won't be putting this in my line up.

Hearty Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2001
This casserole is awsome. I especially like the zucchini, but my husband does't so I just left it off half of the casserole. This one has gone into the "keeper cookbook". Give this one a try you will be pleased.

Crab Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2001
I did not care for this recipe. I drained the crab really well and only wiped the mushrooms with a damp cloth and it was still too watery. The filling did not have a very good flavor at all, we threw away most of them. I will not make this again.

Tomato Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2001
This is a great recipe, it's so different from anything else in my recipe box. It's great when you want a change from the norm. I even took it to for lunch the next day, it's great cold or heated in the microwave. One warning though you have to like basil to enjoy this one.

Chicken With Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2000
The presentation of the acutal chicken dish is great. Delicous too, however I have no idea why they suggest serving it over rice. I would definitly serve it with steamed broccoli and possibly rice pilaf. But dont make the mistake I did by making white rice as the recipe suggests. I think the chicken can stand on its own.
