Me and my Rock
About this Cook
I am a Christian, mother of one (so far) and wife
My favorite things to cook
fudge, cakes, cookies, pasta, and muffins... still learning and trying new things (like more main dishes - can't eat pasta all the time)
My favorite family cooking traditions
baking cookies with my mom and sister during the holidays (when we still lived at home) and delivering plates of treats to local friends and family
My cooking triumphs
Desserts! I love to make dessert (because i love to eat it) I try to use up ingredients from the pantry rathering than buying sweets. Peanut butter fudge is my specialty - ilearned to make it when i was still in elementary school.
My cooking tragedies
I tried making choclate banana muffins one time and they were awful... i didn't use a recipe and just guessed at what might be necessary.... it didn't work

Egg Noodles
This basic egg noodle recipe was easy and went great with chicken broth

Quick Yeast Rolls
I was reading the reviews before starting this recipe and was getting worried... thankfully I read jen's review also and decided it was worth a shot to try as is first. I am glad I did. they came out great and were gobbled up before the meal that I was making them for was finished.

Baby Food Cake II
I made cupcakes and a small cake using this recipe so i didn't have the problem previous reviewers had about the gooey center. The only other change I made was I used pear baby food instead of apricot since it is what i had on hand. My 14 month old devoured the first cupcake I gave him so I am thinking it was a success. My husband also enjoyed it... even after I told him about the baby food in the recipe. I will most likely use this recipe again.
