Strawberry Trifle

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
This was very good, I had to change it a bit as to what i had on hand and the time restraint. I had pound cake that I cubed up, used real whipped cream and I mixed it with the pudding. I found some individual trifle dishes so I used those and wow it tasted great. My 13 month old neice couldn't get enough of it, thanks for a great recipe

BBQ NY Strip

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
wow this ws freaking amazing, you don't need any sauce on after you cook it. For the steak seasoning I used montreal steak spice, looking at the ingrediants I thought that it would be way too strong boy was I wrong. I cooked this for the family on Father's Day for 6 people, it makes enough so that I didn't have to make more, let it sit in the fridge for about 6 hours and i didn't prick the meat and still it tasted awesome. thanks for a great marinade. update: This also works great with frozen steaks as well. Usually when I decide I want to make this marinade the steaks are frozen, all I do is put the steaks in a freezer bag pour the marinade over it and leave it in the fridge till the next night. Simply amazing

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
Made this a couple of weekends ago and it was very good, used more fruit then it called for as it was what I had to use. My brother in law inhaled this dessert which was surprising cause after I made it I found out he didn't like rhubarb. He even asked for seconds!!!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
I had a hankering for some pancakes and discovered i didn't have any mix, I don't think I am ever going to go back to a mix again. These were fantastic, I followed the recipe with the two exceptions, I used 1/2 tsp of salt and I added 1/4 more milk as I found the batter too think. It was still thick after but good gave a nice thick and fluffy pancake. Used the banana fosters syrup from the recipe banana fosters waffle and it was amazing

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
Made this the other night and was very good, like others I covered the dish I used with tin foil to help with clean up. I also used boneless chicken breast and covered the dish while it baked with foil. We did double the recipe but found that we really didn't need to, as I forgot to take the foil off they never did get carmalized but they were still very good, nice a moist as well

Smothered Green Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
OMG these were awesome. I did do some things differently after reading the reviews. I first started by cooking the beans in beef stock instead of water, while they cooked I cooked the bacon then added the onions and garlic after a few minutes so that it gave the bacon time to render its fat. Once the beans were cooked I drained them and sprinkled some herb and garlic seasoning on them, when the bacon and onions were cooked I added the beans to the fry pan and mixed it all together. This was the first thing that disappeared from the table, I even went back for seconds. thanks for a great recipe

Texas Ranch Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
this was amazing, we didn't find that the ranch was overpowering but just right. I'm not sure if I actually used the full 1 1/2 cups of ranch I just poured out of the bottle (didn't want to dirty a measuring cup) till i could cover the chicken. Before I added the cheese I also added some bacon which gave this a great flavour, and as I had some left over old cheddar I also added this to the recipe along with the mozza. The cheeses melted in the with ranch to make a nice thick sauce, we thoroughly enjoyed this recipe thanks so much!!

Bacon Cheeseburger Upside Down Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2009
I have made this twice now and I can't get over how good it is. I leave out the tomatoes and the peppers as there is an allergy. for the topping i use the Betty Crocker Biscuit mix Cheese-garlic flavor for the topping. I use that in place of the flour and wow I love how it tastes on top. I used my own pizza sauce that I have been making for years which works well with this recipe. Its quick and easy and tastes great

This was very tasty, made it for Christmas brunch this year and will definitely make it again. I found mini hash brown patties and they worked great, I did cook them to crisp them up a bit. I also added bacon as we had it on hand along with the ham, and we thouroughly enjoyed this thanks

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Wow this wasn't what I expected, i was unsure how it was going to turn out, but now I am glad I made this. What surprised me the most is that the marshmellow kind of disappeared into the the cake but gave a fantastic taste. I ended using a whole bag of marshmellows too. will make this one again thanks for a great recipe

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
Last night when I decided that I was going to make this I thought that I had everything on hand, so I had to make some changes. I only had on hand sausage links so I cut them up and cooked them, but I also decided to add some bacon to the recipe and I used about 6 slices cut up. After i cut up the toast to me it didn't look like enough for the family so I doubled the bread and as I did that I also added to eggs. Other then that I kept it ingrediants the same I we all thoroughly enjoyed the recipe, there was none left. People were going back for seconds and thirds

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
these were very good, I did do things a little different as to what I had on hand. I didn't have enough sour cream so I used some ranch dip that I had, and wow did it ever give this recipe an awesome flavor. I omitted the milk cause after adding the sour cream and the ranch dip it didn't look like it needed it. I also added some other spices that I had on hand from epicur( cheese, chive and garlic as well as a garlic potatp topper). Am I ever glad that I found this recipe thanks

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
omg these are amazing and easy to make. I did follow several other reviews though when making them. I added the parsley, garlic powder and the onion powder into the mix. I also doubled the amount of cheese( i love cheese) as well as i used half milk and half water. As I also love garlic i added more to the melted butter mixture. I used a heaping table spoon to make the biscuits, and as they were bigger then they were supposed to they did take longer to bake. All i did was I kept and eye on then till they were golden brown. YUMMY!!!!!!!!

Banana Cheesecake with Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
wow was this a great recipe, made it for my brother in laws birthday. I did make some changes though, I baked it in a 9 in. spring form pan and I increased the mashed bananas to a cup or 2 whole bananas. I had to bake it for 45 minutes as well, for the caramel sauce i cooked it in a double boiler and only put a little evaporated milk in it i did not use the whole can. I will definitely be making this again

Bacon Cheese Frittata

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
made this today with my neice for brunch, wow we really enjoyed it. I did add more cheese to it as well as i used dried minced onions as I didn't have any green onions, did it ever give it a nice flavor. Think next time I will only add the amount of cheese that the recipe calls for as i found it a bit greasy, it did bake longer as well but that could be because i did use a 8x8 pan instead of a 11x7 one but will make this again. works really well using ham instead of bacon mine was still frozen thanks
