Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
simply delicious, though it did need some seasoning. The next time that I make this I am going to double the sauce and before serving I am going to put the bundles in the sauce for a few minutes so that they can soak up some of the sauce, this will also help crisp up the bacon.

Ghirardelli Coconut Almond Torte with Chocolate Chips

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
this was amazing, made this last weekend for family dinner and wow. As I couldn't find Ghirardelli's I just used regular semi sweet chocolate chips and they weren't mini which i like, Mini would be too chocolate. I am wondering what it would be like if I made it with just coconuts or with just almonds, hmmmm something to try

Apres Ski French Toast

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
wow was this ever good, I didn't use multigrain bread as I am not a fan of it. Instead I used an Italian round bread and wow it was awesome. I did use and extra egg as the bread was quiet thick. My niece came over after and literaly wolfed the remaining down she liked it that much

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
This was great, decided to make this weekend for a treat. As there was only the 3 of us I scaled it back to 4 serving. I followed the recipe the only thing i did was add 2 more eggs for a total of 5 eggs, as I also had whipping cream that needed using I used that in place of the milk very yummy. I think the next time I make this I want to try cubing the bread and see how I like that better. I also want to try doubling the sauce part, as is, was great didn't need any syrup but I want more of the sauce

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
WOW!!!!! what a great recipe. Made this for Christmas, it was so simple and easy to make put it on and forget it. The one thing that my family decided was that it does not need the whole time that it states to cook in the recipe. We could barely get it out of the slow cooker as it was falling apart so easily, so I think half the time will do and thats what we will try next time. I think the time would be fine if you were't using an already cured ham. Thanks for a simple and tasty recipe

Buche de Noel

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
I really enjoyed this recipe, it was so like and yummy tasting. The only thing that I didn't like is that the cake was so thin after you rolled it. I would have liked a thicker cake portion. So the next time that I make this I will be making 2 cakes and try rolling them together to see if that better. The one thing that I did was I iced it with a chocolate icing from a can, I won't be doing that again as it make the cake waaay to sweet for some.

Real Welsh Rarebit

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
this was great, reminded me of the rarebit from a tea house that is now closed. I did add a shake of onion flakes into this which gives it another great flavour

Brenda's Strawberry Slush Delight

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
made this this weekend and it was very hard to wait till it froze. I didn't find it too sweet like others have commented. I had some orange flavoured rum and some pina colada flavoured pinapple juice that I used in the recipe. Simply amazing Thanks for a great drink

Cornflake Slice

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
this was great. I do have to agree though, I found that 3/4 cup was alot of butter. I did cut it back to 1/2 cup but still found that to be too much, my solution was to add more marshmallows. I had some toasted coconut marshmallows and that is what I used, I also toasted the almonds and coconut in a dry frypan until golden brown. Next time I want to add more almonds and coconut as i enjoyed that part alot but found that there was not enough of them in the slice

Maple Bacon Pancake

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
made this last night and it was very good, followed some of the others and baked it at 375 but I needed to cook it for and extra 10 minutes (30 in total) then I added the cheese and baked it another 5 min. I also mixed about 1/2 of the bacon into the pancake, then i sprinkled the rest when i added the cheese

Green Beans with Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
wow made this for Mother's day along with roast beef, and there is nothing left. Wasn't really measuring the beans or the cheese just poured in until it looked like enough. Used frozen whole beans too and it worked great. We will use this again and again

Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
Made this for dinner last night and wow these were tasty. Instead of using bacon bits I used real bacon chopped up, once I cooked the bacon I just cooked the hamburgers in the same fry pan. One thing though is I would omit the salt next time as the bacon added enough.

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
This was a phenomenal recipe. I added 1/2 c. of ground almonds to the topping and decreased the flour by about 1/4 cup. I also added 1/2 tsp. of almond extract (NOT the imitation stuff). The added almond really gave a lovely flavour and made the crisp deluxe.

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I really enjoyed thisbut I have to say I wasn't impressed with the crust. I found it way too crumbly and it fell apart when i took the pieces out of the pan. I tried it again but with adding and extra 1/2 cup of butter and it was much better that time. I works great with raisans instead of pecans which is what I did when I made it the second time

This was very tasty, made it for Christmas brunch this year and will definitely make it again. I found mini hash brown patties and they worked great, I did cook them to crisp them up a bit. I also added bacon as we had it on hand along with the ham, and we thouroughly enjoyed this thanks

Made this for sunday dinner to go with roast chicken, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all even my brother in law who does not like peas. I used a leek as I wanted a mild onion taste. I didn't strain it as didn't have time, Next time I make I will make sure that I do. The next time I want to add some carrots and potatoes to it as well to see how that turns out
