About this Cook
I enjoy painting, reading, Cillian Murphy movies, and anything flavored with cloves! I am pretty adventurous when it comes to food and I will try anything once.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! I love bread and cakes. Plus, no one is ever picky about dessert. ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in a family that rarely ate home-cooked meals. So I'm the one starting the new family cooking traditions! :)

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies are GOOD -- darn good. I've tried a couple of other chocolate chip recipes that were underwhelming, but this one is PERFECT. Crispy outside and moist, soft inside. The cookies puff up in place instead of spreading, so the result is a delicious, perfectly shaped cookie. This is now my go-to recipe for chocolate chip cookies! Thanks! :)

Spaghetti Carbonara II
This was quite good, and very easy and quick to make. Husband loved it and we will definitely be making it again. Works with or without the heavy cream suggested by other reviewers -- I used almond milk and a little extra butter because that was all I had, and it still turned out delicious. A+. :)

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili
Very, very good. This recipe makes more of a hearty soup than a chili, I would say. Didn't have green chiles, so I used a can of salsa verde, and only 2 cans of beans. I think with the amount of broth, it could handle 3 cans but I made this in my crock pot and it was almost full to capacity. For crock pot, I just threw everything in together, except the cheese, and cooked on high for 4 hours. Shredded the cheese in at the end. I used pepper jack for a little more flavor, and added some sour cream to thicken the broth. Excellent, would make again. :)
