About this Cook
Married with three wonderful boys, two serving their country, one still in school. I am a horse trainer & riding instructor that is blessed to be doing what I love as a job.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, it is my favorite thing to do when weather prevents me from riding. I make conventional breads, cookies, pies, candy and anything else I decide to give a shot. I have yet to master pie crusts...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday baking with my mom, grandmothers, aunts and female cousins.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking a five course Italian dinner for a traditional Italian family. I thought for sure I would fail that miserably but they loved everything I presented, there was nothing left after dinner.
My cooking tragedies
Pie crust will be the death of me yet.

Chocolate Walnut Fudge
Very simple, turned out great. I taught a girlfriend how to make fudge the old fashioned way. Then I showed her how to make this recipe and she couldn't believe how easy making fudge could be. My husband couldn't even tell the difference between old fashioned fudge to this one. A real keeper!

The Best Doggy Biscuits!
My Aussie & Lab loved these cookies. I did add peanut butter and cut the sugar down to a teaspoon. Both my girls wanted more as soon as they ate the first one. Eight paws up as it were.

Brown Sugar Cut-Out Cookies and Icing
Very easy to make! I baked these with a 7 year old today, nothing so complicated that she lost interest. While the dough was chilling we made the icing in numerous colors. Both turned out wonderful. I would recommend this recipe to anyone who wants to teach a child to bake cookies, very child friendly.
