Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This turkey is delicious! I was too lazy to loosen the skin, so I just rubbed the oil/herb mixture all over the bird. After it had browned nicely, I put a foil tent over the breast. The flavor was amazing, and the meat was very moist! I also used a brine recipe that is in another review (the one with the orange juice, peppercorns, etc.) and I think it definitely added to the overall flavor. Make this turkey! It's so easy and tasty.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I took the suggestion of another reviewer and used half brown sugar and added a sprinkle of cinnamon. My husband said it was the best cranberry sauce he'd ever had! This recipe is very easy, delicious and was a nice addition to our Thanksgiving meal.

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
This ice cream rocks! I didn't change a single thing, but I did mix it up and chill it overnight like another reviewer suggested. It was perfectly creamy, thick and cinnamon-y! Even my picky husband approved. This one is definitely going into my permanent recipe file.

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
These cookies are very tasty! I followed the recipe to the letter, and the cookies turned out perfectly - nice and soft, with a delicious cool mint chocolate flavor. It can be a little tricky keeping the mints on top of the cookies as they melt, but you get the hang of it after a few slide off! Easy to make, tasty and good-looking... what more could you want in a cookie?

French Silk Chocolate Pie II

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2006
My first French silk pie... to make OR eat! It turned out very nice. I took the advice of another reviewer about not overblending the butter and sugar. It works just fine to use a hand mixer, and the filling set up just fine without any chilling. The longer you mix the eggs, the airier the pie will be, so if you want a nice, dense pie, just mix them until they are fully incorporated. Overall... very tasty!

Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
This fudge is so good! I didn't change a thing - just followed the recipe to the letter. I turned out three beautiful batches to divide up for Christmas gifts. Just be careful not to overcook the sugar mixture - your fudge could end up really dry and hard.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2004
I really liked this roast recipe. I used milk instead of water, and I also added potatoes and carrots the last hour of cooking. The gravy was different than what I'm used to, but was nevertheless creamy and delicious. I also added some garlic powder for a little extra flavor. This is a nice crockpot recipe for a Sunday afternoon.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2004
Cool, creamy and delicious! I think this is a great recipe - really easy, fast, and tasty. My husband is a bit more picky. He said he would have liked it better if it had been a different flavor, maybe lemon. I thought the cream cheese gave it a nice, smooth flavor, and the peanut butter wasn't too overpowering. I will definitely make this again (maybe with lemon pudding next time)!

Pita Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
This is a quick Saturday afternoon lunch. Make sure to drain the chicken good before adding the salsa, or it may end up too soupy. My husband and I liked the flavor, although it tasted just like plain spicy chicken. Maybe another spice to make it more unique would be a good addition. We used the tortillas, and they worked great. We'll probably try this one again, with just a little tweaking. A good recipe overall.

Pork Chops to Live For

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2002
This is a wonderful recipe. I took the advice of some other reviewers to avoid the bland taste I read about in a few reviews. I added sage, thyme, and garlic powder to the flour mixture, and I added half a packet of onion soup mix before I put the lid on the crock pot. The chops were so tender, they just melted in our mouths, and the gravy is great for mashed potatoes. I will definitely be making this again.

Real Texas Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2002
This recipe had a good flavor, but it's really meaty. Maybe I didn't cut the meat chunks small enough, but I'm not sure that I'll try this one again. It might be good to try with some ground meat, although I found that the sauce gets pretty thick after it sit in the fridge all night. All in all, it's not too bad... but I hope you're hungry!

Banana Cream Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2002
I took this to a friend's house for dinner, and it was a hit! So good and creamy, and I even had enough for a second pie to feed my boyfriend. I used one box of banana cream pudding and one box of vanilla, like some other reviewers suggested. I will definitely be making this again.

Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2002
What a great recipe! The cheese mixture doesn't stick to the chicken very well, but it works just fine to pour the mixture onto the chicken in the pan. I also poured a little extra melted butter over the top before sticking it in the oven. The chicken is nice and juicy, and the cheesy topping is great!
