Banana Nut Bread II

My first bad review ever...I thought it was really to heavy and dense, took almost 2 hours to cook in my bread machine, even then the flavor was off, I think it's missing vanilla, didn't care for it at all, I also think the other recipe I use that calls for 1.5 cups of flour is better, not so brick-heavy...sorry, didn't do it for me..

BBQ Bacon Ranch Dip

This stuff is amazing!!! Seriously!!! I doubled the recipe, added 2 cups of sourc cream, and instead of ranch mix, I used Lipton Onion Soup instead. It made a 9X13 pan and it was gone within 30 minutes. I used wavy chips and Frito Scoops. Everyone has already told me this is the dip I need to bring to gatherings from now on....can't go wrong with it!!

Pasta with Fresh Tomatoes and Corn

This is fantastic!!! I actually threw the tomatoes and corn in a skillet to heat them up and carmalize them a little, then I tossed in some angel hair and then topped with freshly grated parmesan!!!

Coconut (Haupia) and Chocolate Pie

This is GREAT!! What's not to love, chocolate and coconut. I followed the recipe exactly, and then decided to add shredded coconut to the plain layer. I think it made a huge difference, really gave it the coconut flavor. I also toasted 3/4 cup of coconut and sprinkled it on top of the pie. Can't wait to make it again!

Peach Cobbler IV

Finally, an easy and great tasting cobbler recipe. I doubled the recipe, used a 29 oz can of peaches and a regular sized can...used half the syrup in each can. I also added ginger/cinnamon and a teaspoon of salt to the flour mixture. I sprinkled blueberries on the top, it was great!!!! Can't wait to use fresh peaches. I am also going to use this recipe for various berries and apples as well! Thanks for the recipe!

Southwestern Pasta Salad

This is a great recipe! I really like the southwestern take on the salad as opposed to traditional italian. I added some red wine vinegar...other than that I stuck to the recipe. I also used fresh sweet corn grilled, and then cut off the cob. 5 stars!

Wisconsin Native's Beer Cheese Soup

Awesome! I used dark beer, sharp white cheddar and regular sharp cheddar, veggie stock, and extra salt, it really needed the salt for some reason. I used my hand blender to make it smooth and served it with beer bread. My southerner hubby loved it, I will mae it again!

Apple Spice Dump Cake

Awesome...great fall dessert. I also added golden raisins and it was great! NOTE: With all dump cakes..they ALWAYS turn out if you MELT the butter first and then pour it over the cake mix. The melted butter then aborbs the cake mix and you won't have any dry cake mix...it will work everytime...I use about 1.5 sticks of butter and it always turns out perfect...serve with fresh whipped cream with a tsp of vanilla mixed in!

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake I

What a great fall dessert! I used Butter Pecan cake mix, added a lot of cinnamon and some ginger to the peaches. I also melted the butter, and used 1/2 stick more than was called for. It's great with fresh whipped cream!!!

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

These were great!!! I made them on Christmas Eve for a houseful of people and they were a hit! I should have made a double recipe. I made them again and added sharp cheddar cheese and some pepper jack cheese, it gave them an extra zing!!
