The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
It was hard to rate this recipe as I don't make this type of cookie very often. There were things I liked about it, such as the cookies seemed to have no tendency to burn. When cooking, however, they never emitted much of a "done" cookie smell, and seemed to need more baking time than the recipe states, so it was difficult to know when they were done. As many have said, the dough was very sticky to work with, making the cookies hard to move from even a well floured board to the pan. I most wished that there was some crunch to them. After baking they are very soft and pretty bland tasting.

Texas Brownies I
I don't like supermoist, chewy brownies. By the picture that went with this recipe, I knew I was going to make something more cake-like. The cinnamon/vanilla flavor was a nice twist on the chocolate flavor. What you call these is a matter of perspective. Here in Venezuela, brownies are moist but cakelike, and cakes are terribly dry. Whatever you want to call these, they're moist and sweet enough for me, and taste good.

Vanilla Pumpkin Pie
The vanilla gives this pie a wonderful flavor. Living in Venezuela, I used our common pumpkin vegetable, auyama - kind of a cross between pumpkin and butternut squash. The pie had a good texture - moist, but not too moist. The cooking directions seemed perfect. This recipe is a keeper and probably the only one I'll use.
