Cherry Limeade I

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
Tart, but I like it! Used 1 1/2 liters of Sprite, 1 can of frozen limeade and kept everything else the same. Perfection!

Oatmeal and Wheat Flour Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2012
halved the recipe, still used 2 tbsp brown sugar and 1/2 cup blueberries, added 2 tsp of vanilla and added cinnamon. replaced the evoo with apple sauce, and used all wheat flour (no ap flour). I think i still need to tinker with the recipe to change it to my liking. Needs more brown sugar or cinnamon i think or I may add banana. Also I did add a tad bit more flour as per other reviews, but I think I'll stick to the recipe next time or add more baking powder to make it fluffier next time.

Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2012
So yummy! Will make this one again. I pretty much followed the recipe with a few minor changes. I used panko because that's what I had on hand, sub'd olive oil for the veg. oil, and added a bit more parmesan cheese. I ended up cooking the chicken on medium heat for 4 minutes + low heat for 2-3 minutes on each side. Next time, I'd like to try it with the seasoned bread crumbs and/or try the garlic, oregano and/or other spices.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
I put these in for 15 minutes. Too fluffy for my taste, but I'm wondering if I may have accidentally doubled the baking soda since no one else has complained about the fluffiness.

Garlic Chicken with Orzo Noodles

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
EASY/quick recipe! I also boiled the orzo in chicken broth, which made it tasty. next time i won't drain the remaining broth and will just add it to the chicken to soak up. Ill also add more garlic and try rosemary or basil and splash it with lemon next time.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
This was a hit! I halved this recipe. I trimmed the fat off of a 2 lb cut of pot roast and cut in half, rubbed dry rub then browned the meat before placing into the slow cooker. I also added 2 tbsp of worcestershire sauce. My slow cooker only has 1 setting and I ended up cooking this dish for 7-8 hours. Will try adding carrots and potatoes during the last hour next time as others have suggested. Will definitely make this again.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2012
Tried the recipe mostly as is with one slight modification - added 1/2 cup of water towards the end to thin out the sauce. It was very tasty. Would like to try the following variations next time (1) low fat &/or non-fat alternatives (2) add chopped broccoli (3) add can of soup.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2012
So easy to make! Modifications for me - used 3 frozen chicken breasts, but kept everything else the same (did not cut the other ingredients in half). As suggested by others, I also waited to mix 1/2 of the BBQ sauce until after I shredded the chicken. It was a bit watery, so I may cut the wet ingredients by 1/4 to see if that helps.

Ranch Chicken Tacos

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2012
This was so easy to make. I only made some minor changes based on other reviews. I boiled 3 half defrosted chicken breasts in chicken broth (adding water as needed as the broth evaporated). Only had mozzarella cheese, which worked fine. I could do without the lettuce next time and think the salsa could be optional.
