Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2014
I made this for dinner tonight. It was simple and delicious. I used a 24 ounce can of crushed tomatoes because that is what I had and the sauce was plenty thick. I didn't have any balsamic, but I'm not sure if it made a difference or not. I also threw on some shredded Parmesan cheese right at the end. I served it with cheese tortellini. We loved it!

Homemade Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2014
Super easy and very good. Creamy and delicious. My 7 year old grandson loved it and so did we! I used Romano cheese instead of Parmesan because that is all I had. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. Will definitely make again.

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2014
I used Giant Eagle Italian sausage and homemade sauce. I browned the sausage first and then put everything in the crock pot. Cooked on low for 6 hours.Delicious! NO grease whatsoever. My husband is raving about it. It's 0 degrees here in Ohio and this was a perfect meal to come home to after work! A keeper!

Chocolate Frosting II

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
I tried this recipe for the first time today to frost my husband's birthday cake. It was simple to make. I followed one reviewer's suggestion and just softened the butter and mixed all the ingredients together. Since I put the cake on a platter I needed more frosting to cover the sides. I just adjusted the serving amount and I had the right amount to cover very well. Everyone loved the taste! Very chocolatey and fluffy!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs I

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2013
We liked this very much. I made as directed but used frozen meatballs because I had a bag of them in the freezer. I baked them first and heated the sauce in a pan. They only needed about 2 hours in the crock-pot. Served with buttered egg noodles. Will make again!

Better Baked Beans

I've been making this same recipe for years. I believe it is in the original Angels and Friends Recipe book. When I bring it to my family's Fourth of July picnic I have to triple the recipe. Everyone loves it!

Blueberry Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
I made this for the first time today and it was delicious! I followed the recipe exactly as written. I agree with the one reviewer who suggested not using more milk because doing so would make this too "cake-like". Coffee cake is supposed to be dense in texture, and this is after all, a coffee cake.

I just made this for the first time. I used a 3lb roast and made the same amount of sauce. I used fresh rosemary and the flavor was phenomenal! Thicken the juice for gravy...delicious!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
I have made this roast twice now. It does come out perfect, as far as doneness, but it also comes out cold. How do I reheat the roast without it drying out?
