Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2002
WOW. No wonder this recipe has so many wonderful reviews. This was great!!!! I added cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla like some of the comments suggested and I made sure to follow the heat directions. The pie came out PERFECT. This one replaces other recipes as my favorite! YUMMY!!!

Chicken and Mushroom Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2002
I thought this was bland and had to really add spices to get adequate taste. Not sure I would make this again.

Spinach and Mushroom Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2002
Very good recipe. There wasn't anything left! My Dad, whom usually will only eat spinach with vinegar, had seconds. I added two extrea slices of bacon and that really brought out the contrast in tastes.

Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2002
My Dad used to make his own yeast rolls. Even he thought these were really good. I followed this recipe exactly as written and the rolls turn out light and fluffy.

Artichoke and Black Olive Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2001
Make sure to rinse olives and artichokes. Add lots of capers and 4 to 6 cloves of fresh crushed garlic, double the chicken broth, change the wine to 2/3 a cup and add a little extra tarragon and this is awesome. Once done, take the remaining liquid, add a little cornstarch and thicken to taste. Serve on the side with plain white rice.

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2001
After reading all of the reviews, I made the decision to add flour to the apples to minimize the juices and I added cinnamon to the topping. This pie was excellent and a big hit.

Cranberry Apple Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2001
This recipe was very quick and easy to throw together. It was a little juicy for our taste, so the next time I make it, I'll add some flour or cornstarch to thicken it up. My 8 year old loved it and the recipe is easy enough that he could make it next time we decide to have it!

Breaded Rib Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2001
This recipe is tops! I added a generous ampount of rosemary to the rub and used about 3 times the amount of garlic that the recipe called for. My guests raved on and on about how tender and tasty the roast was and my two little picky eaters couldn't get enough.
