About this Cook
I'm a married guy with twins. I want to open a gourmet spice store with nothing but the highest quality spices.
My favorite things to cook
Most BBQ -- Brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken.... but I am learning Indian right now.
My favorite family cooking traditions
None, really, other than Pork and Sauerkraut on New Year's Day.
My cooking triumphs
When I made Chicken Tikka Masala, and my family said it was just as good as the CTM we get at the Indian restaurant!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made a brisket, it was so bad, I literally would not feed it to my dogs.

Shrimp and Catfish Gumbo
Pretty good... but do NOT simmer the shrimp for 30 minutes unless you like rubber shrimp. Add them with about 5 - 6 minutes to go, and it will be much better. Same with the fish. You don't want to over cook it..... fish might take 1 or 2 minutes more than the shrimp.

Bavarian Style Meatballs
OK, the only reason I made this was because my daughter is taking Geman in school, and she needed it for Octoberfest. Looking at the ingredients, it didn't excite me. I was expecting to give it 2 stars. I'm giving it 3 because it was better than I expected... THAT SAID, I cut the sugar down by 2/3rds and it was still pretty darn sweet, Also, there really is no reason to make this in a crockpot unless you want to. But REALLY *** do cut down on the sugar ***..... you can always add more if you like.... Oh, and I used 3 pounds of meatballs with the amount of everything else being the same, and tehre was plenty of "fixin's".

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World
Pretty good, I would NOT say it is very spicy, but then again, I love habaneros.... and I ended up putting in about 5 of them to make it the heat level I enjoy. I left out the burger crumbles.
