Dawn's Easy Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
I love red velvet cake...but VERY picky. There are few good recipes out there...and as a cookie - this one's a winner. It's hard to mess up, which I love. I did leave out the bourbon, coconut, pecans (because of nut allergies, and used a splash of milk instead of the evaporated. For 50 - michelan star restauraunt chefs...this was the first cookie to go. Thank you for sharing!

Bavarian Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
I painted the interior of the crust with coco butter (as my sister who is a 5 diamond chef suggested so the filling doesn't get soggy). What a success! Simple and yummy!

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
I didn't have all of the ingredients on hand so I made a few modifications: used dijon mustard in place of dry ground mustard, wiskey instead of rum, canned diced green chiles (with juice) and chili powder in place of chili sauce. I boiled the ribs first, then drained, and simmered in the bbq sauce before grilling. The result was Mmmm mmmm sweet and a little spicy! Definately a keeper! Thank you for sharing

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
Very tasty! I used thick cut, boneless chops, the ready made beef broth instead of bouillon cubes and water, and in the end before serving made the drippings into a gravy. Super tender and a huge hit! Thank you for sharing!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
OUTSTANDING!!! My family and I are extremely picky about tiramisu. This recipe is definately a winner! So decadent! I followed the recommendations to double the coffee and liqueur and it turned out perfect. Only change I personally would maybe make in the future, is double the amount of cake itself as I found the layers to be a little on the thin side. All in all, this one is a keeper! Thank you for sharing!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
I've been making this recipe for years. One thing to boost how quickly it will go is to add mint chocolate. I chop up half a box of andes mint chocolate to add to the mix, and the other half I chop and use for topping. Gone everytime!
