Barbeque Ham

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
This was OK, I liked the BBQ sauce. I'd strongly recommend cooking the ham a bit, then add the BBQ sauce. Ham releases a boatload of water, so this recipe will turn into soup if you don't cook that water off first.

Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
Made exactly per recipe. Awesome. Wings were tender and juicy, but most importantly, the flavors were great. A very nice sweet-hot-mustard combination, a great change to the tradtional wing (if there is such a thing).

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
Really, really good. I followed the recipe very closely. The only thing I swayed on was using king crab legs instead of canned crab. Awesome.

Maple Baked Pork Loin Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
Tender and moist, and the sauce was surprisingly good. I prefer the sauce a tad thicker and more potent, so I reduced it a tad while the roast rested.

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
This was good. Easy to make, freezes well, and I didn't have to make a special trip to the grocery store for ingredients. I followed the recipe exactly. Good for those cold nights you just want to stay home and enjoy comfort food.

Ultimate Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
Awesome pot pie. I made the recipe exactly as stated. I've made pot pies before and the crusts never turned out, but it was perfect in this recipe. Now that I know the secret to a perfect crust, I can experiment with fillings til I'm blue in the face. Can't wait.

Asian Chicken Noodle Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
I wish I could give a 3.5 stars, cause I think this was decent recipe, but not quite 4 stars. I've made it 3 times, and each time I adjusted slightly to get it where I liked it. Most notable change was adding a bit more vinegar to give it more twang. I also chopped the bok choy instead of shredding it.

Sassy Steak Marinade and Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
This recipe was OK. Although I marinated my sirloins for a solid 6 hours as described in the recipe, the marinade didn't seem to add much flavor. But I like the marinade a lot as a steak sauce. This recipe has been added to my recipe book under sauces.

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
Overall these were pretty good. I never thought I'd hear me saying this, but technique is critical here if you want to have nice golden corn dogs. I took the advice of others who reviewed this by rolling the dogs in cornstarch, and cooling the batter down in the freezer. Soon as my batter warmed up, I started losing batter. I also recommend highly a top quality beef dog. I used a combo of beef and your standard wiener, and the beef was at least twice as good.

Whiskey-Marinated Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
Very good. I didn't change a thing other than cutting the recipe down because I only had 4 steaks. My audience were all hearty beef eaters, so the pressure was on. This recipe did not disappoint.
