Quick Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2013
This was easy and tasty. Except for the capers, I usually have these ingredients on hand so will definitely make again. I may add a little more pepper and cayenne next time. As good as any restaurant!

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
I just made these and put them in the crock pot - I am so happy I don't need to worry about the timing now. They are delicious even before the butter. Cooking them in broth with garlic adds great subtle flavor. I used vegetable broth instead of chicken because I have several vegetarians coming for Thanksgiving. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Gruyere with Sauteed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
My teenage daughter, husband and I all loved this recipe! Will definitely make it again. I agree with those who say the gruyere is imperative. It was easy...my only adjustment was to add garlic when I added the wine. Surprisingly the wine was not overwhelming.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
Ever since the first time I tried this recipe, over a year ago, I use it every time I make steak! My family loves it.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Always comes out great. Sometimes I add ginger or a little bit of orange juice for a change, but it's not needed. When it's too cold to go out I bake these on a broiler pan.

Always A Winner Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
No matter which ingredient I leave out altogether or substitute, this is always great. Subtle flavoring, but very tasty. I'm on a low carb diet, so I sub a bit of Splenda for the honey. My teenagers like me to keep it in the house for salads and snacks. Great with ranch dressing. I will try the baking/grill method described in a previous review.

Creamy Butternut Squash With Cinnamon Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
Love this soup!! Trying to eat healthy, so I didn't use any cream, milk or sweetener of any sort and it still tasted great. I also added an acorn squash and steamed both before sauteeing. I used less than a quart of broth. If you feel it needs sweetening, I would add real maple syrup.

Alice's Sour Cream Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
Loved it. Very like Alfredo sauce, but so easy. I also sauteed chicken chunks in a big pan, then removed them to start the sauce with a little sauteed garlic. I didn't have any chicken broth, so I added a little extra wine (used sherry). No problem thickening - full fat sour cream is pretty thick to begin with. Returned chicken to pan soon after sauce started. Yum!

Summer Lamb Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
I love this recipe! The first time I made it, my husband said he could eat it every day, but I'm limiting him to once/week! We don't add the cherries - too sweet for our tastes. Tastes great without them!

Patti's Mussels a la Mariniere

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2006
Wow! Delicious! I subbed sherry for the wine, yellow onion, a 1/2 14 oz can diced tomatoes because it's all I had in the house and added a splash of half-n-half. Outstanding. I will make it the same way next time!

Chinese Green Bean Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2005
This is an easy quick dish I serve with Chicken Teriyaki and rice. Not exactly the same as in a restaurant, but close enough. My kids are picky, buy this is one of the few vegetable dishes they enjoy. Definitely omit the salt and adjust seasoning to your own taste.
