If I could rate this recipe 4.5, I would do so. We liked the flavor of the dish and the meat was incredibly tender. I did, however, deviate just a bit from the original (sorry to those purists who are irritated by this) by using thick cut boneless chops. Next time I will use boneless chops that are standard thickness rather than thick cut. The ratio of sauce to meat proved to be a weakness in our opinion. I drained the kraut but did not rinse it. Other than those variations, I did follow the recipe as written and it was delicious. I served the chops with mashed sweet potatoes since my daughter prefers the healthy sweet potato to a white potato.
